If the new phones will get WP 7.1 mango OS , what happens to the Symbian held phones, will these be upgraded ? or will they keep Symbian system still working and upgrades etc ?
I have just bought a new N8 so am very concerned in this regards.

Mango has over 500 improvements over original WP7
And all those features you name has been corrected and improved...there is no need to bash WP7 Mango is totally differento from the one used before with HTC HD7, Ominia and others.
You can say is a totally new OS, and if you dont like Homescreen you can changet it also, besides, Android homescreen is not pretty either :P is plain and boring, unless you use the one of HTC, but that one was made first for work with WP6.0
HTC Sense Homescreen was totally designed for Microsoft OS and was the mos amazing homscreen with widgets never made :D

Mango homescreen set up is totally ugly,you have Symbian phones an you can set Themes,Wallpapers an Shortcuts an choose the ones you want,but not seen no Auto-Rotation on the Homescreen with Mango,No Memory card slot ,no usb port,an no Bluetooth sending,so how can this be good for Nokia after being able to Transfer things easily with Symbian an no transfering things using Mango,So it will be my last Nokia phone the N8,if Nokia do not sort things out with Microsoft

The OS might be in its infancy and not the most powerful around but still one of the most elegant win 7 devices around. Nokia do dish out some elegant designs once in a while. Wonder what happened to the Proposed Custom UI agreement from Nokia. Guess no time to introduce new UI Now.

Is good stop crying for our old Nokias and start to look forward.
Symbian is going to be in 2nd place for nokia, basic phones and basic-middle ranges. Meego maybe will neer got launched at all, Anna is good but looks and feels a little outdated for today standards :(. S40/S60 are good for -100 dlls phones now..
Even I hope nokia releases a Nokia W 1xxx series for basic needs and good price, that's will be a smart move.
Nokia is well know for release phones from a good prices ranges, so we maybe will see an -200 dlls WP phone :D Power4People

i have waited a long time for this,thats the news that i wanted to hear.
I am so gonna buy this phone once its released,but until now,i am gonna go for samsung galaxy s2,and later reclame my trust in nokia after this phone is releaed.

Is irrelevant say Android will be killed by WP7.1 mango...but it will be a very interesting war between those two..
Actually people from less than 35 years uses Android and people +35 uses more WP since is more for business than Android, since Android is for more fun-to-use matter...
How's got more money for expend?
Well, I'm one of them I don't care expend 600/900 dlls if the OS is right for me...
But I hope Nokia and other companies like Samsung, HTC, Acer, etc. Make -200 dlls WM phones
Samsung is making already a Galaxy W and Galaxy WS for WP7.1 so, there will be a lots of cool hardware or our favorite OS.
For now I will still waiting for Nokia W series...Gosh! I want one :D

We hope Microsoft learn this lesson...
However, ther will be a plenty of users making software for enabled hidden features...Like the HTC Diamond missed radio was enabled in XDA ROMS :D
Damn even XDA are already working in modd this OS (beta stage), so we will have plenty of people making this OS something better :D

We will see if Nokia to get their costumers back by changing to WP7. But I still miss the "very" good build quality of Nokia phones. But if they address the limitations of the WP7 such as a file manager, wi-fi thether, Flash and so on I think that I will buy an Nokia WP7 if I can afford.... :)
