Not impressed with Oreo. Battery performance is terrible, eats up power like crazy with nothing running in the background, Location, Bluetooth, etc.
Plus they changed some widgets, and apparently got rid of my favorite time and WX widget
HTC u11 has shit Wi-Fi diagnostics and connection tool,
one of the biggest issue is the HTC U11 Wi-Fi turn connection will send signal to tell the Telstra gateway to shutdown no one including Android wants to fix the issue so updating to 8 will be a night mare on the mobile data.
Luxor, 23 Aug 2017The easiest way for that to happen is when Google stop supporting all the old android version ... moreEven Gingerbread is still alive! So much alive! I think some people still uses the old device due to functionality and familiarity. They don't care too much about updates. As long as they can call, text, take pictures, and browse. I like your point though!
Anonymous, 27 Aug 2017Random question, can I update my j5 2016 to Nougat?J5 2016 already received WiFi certification for nougat so it should be released soon. A little patience needed though. :)
The hero oreo is cute! Haha. Anyway, I'm excited to receive such performance boost for my a5 2017. I saw a video where Pixel C's performance improves a lot on oreo compared to nougat.

Oreos doesn't even taste good

AnonD-680868, 22 Aug 2017for that, we need a BRAND NEW phone or few lucky phones to receive oreo. for that to happen it... moreThe easiest way for that to happen is when Google stop supporting all the old android version immediately. Once a new version comes out just simply stop support for old android. I still wonder why android Jellybean still exist. What the heck is Google doing? If they keep supporting old version then manufacturer will not be motivated to update their phone.
AnonD-692622, 22 Aug 2017Android Oreo officially released and we are still waiting for nougat update Samsung galaxy j7 2016Buy a flagship device if you don't like waiting ;o Manufacturers are horribly bad at updating mainstream devices.
HTC 10 will be getting Oreo, great since I am not impressed by any of the devices this year, aside from G6, but that is no better than my 10 or S7exynos. I am still getting updates on my S6, so may be a good sign that S7 will get Oreo.
On another note, my note4 n910u got an update yesterday. 2.5 years later and still updating it. Still stuck on Marshmallow though.
AnonD-692622, 22 Aug 2017Android Oreo officially released and we are still waiting for nougat update Samsung galaxy j7 2016ha ha ha

For those who own phone which will not be Android 8.0 OTA update is adviseable to go for custom ROM.
