This phone offers less than No... moreI too have to stick with Note 4 (got the 3rd removable battery already). Note 8 and S8 are overpriced beyond limits... This just kills samsung customers loyalty and interest.
earn or wait, 22 Aug 2017Just earn more money.. rather then complain about the price.
If can't earn, then wait. It alw... moreNo, this is really stupid. Even if you earn money, it does not mean you should throw it around.
Paying 1000 EUR for a phone is throwing money around. In a moment it will be available in 2-for-1 promotions and the price will fall to some 400 EUR eventually, or the vast majority will not even bother checking if price will go down. There are many decent and better priced alternatives this year (yes, very few really NEED s-pen).
Just earn more money.. rather then complain about the price.
If can't earn, then wait. It always drop.
Phone is for using. Not for bragging. If i are already living on the edge.. and need to complain about $1000 dollars... i have no right to brag, just buy a budget phone that suit my earning power instead.
So what if i have iPhones or Note8s.. while my savings and stomach is empty? I don't even have the power to brag..
if this prices are true we can afford a iphone 8 or any other smartphone :(

Just wait for a month or two and the discount amount will be worth the wait.
I will never pay full price for a phone other than iPhone or Google phones (pixel)
as you will lose more than 20% instantly as soon as you pass your 14 days return period.
chill out dudes, it's a samsung phone, it will drop to 700 USD in 2 months or so, the s8 started here in germany at 850 euro and dropped to 699 after a couple of weeks, it's the same sh't every year, only apple somehow manages to stay at their starting price
Damn it!
In India S8+ already costs $1000+!
Don't know when this prices will stop raising!
Already people shifting towards upper midrangers!
Absolutely #Hate this pricing!

In China the phone price will be higher due to the import tax. In Hong Kong or Taiwan, it should translate into $800ish.
CM3, 22 Aug 2017If the mi mix 2 rumors are anywhere near true, high chances it'll outsell the note 8 in asia.As much as I want to own a Mi Mix, its only released in china. In Singapore, Mi Mix costs much higher than any phone, its the same price as an iPhone 7+ 128gb last time as they need ti import it. There's no official release in major parts of Asia.

Mobile Phones are only for show off
$944 starting is such a foolish price. It's still close to $1000, even the 128GB at $1065 is not looking so good. These are ultra book prices, and I'm compelled to be just staying with my Note 3.
Yeah, yeah - you need to pay to play. I could still get this with carrier subsidy (which is defaulted after returning the Note7), but somehow my carrier's pricing is 90% as the retail pricing staggered over the next 2 years. I can afford it but it's only the S Pen that really hooking me on the Note lineup. I still have the Note7's S Pen working so good with my Note 3. I figured that a cash-out of $600+ for a monthly plan that I need can work, but the pricing is still silly as they need to make good with the Note7's failure.
Unless this is a ploy to push people to getting the S8 models, and those people who just want to be vain using the device for show, not a lot of us are going to get this, especially there are compelling big-screened competition at way less prices.
The 256GB model at $1200 is $100 less for an MS Surface Pro or an Alienware laptop I've been eyeing. My Note 3 pretty much does the same thing as the Note8 and I've been disappointed with having to charge Note7 every afternoon so it can last till night. So, I'm just waiting for what compelling features to get the Note8 with such a high price, and likely the battery will not be as I hope it'll be.
CM3, 22 Aug 2017If the mi mix 2 rumors are anywhere near true, high chances it'll outsell the note 8 in asia.I doubt it.. Obviously youngsters might go for mimix but there are 2 groups of people who wouldn't leave the note.. People who have gotten habituated to the s pen and peoplw who have a lot of cash to throw around and just asks the retailer to show them the beat phone
I thought it would cost a lot more, still doesn't mean I think it's worth it nor will buy it.
At that price, I can get a decent laptop that lasts me for 5 years instead of a phone that lasts for at most 3 years.
If the mi mix 2 rumors are anywhere near true, high chances it'll outsell the note 8 in asia.
And not 8gb for the $1200 one?
And only 3300mah battery? And this is supposed to make up for the note7?
I can buy 2 powerful laptopa for that money. This is just nuts. This phone offers less than Note 4 but costs a hell of a lot more, while at the same time being less needed since midrange phones are good enough nowadays.
