Havent seen any phone released with Intel anymore since Asus. Intel should just stick to computers and laptops. Unless the tablet market want to use it. Because I dont see intel optimized for android but rather it is only for windows.
Luxor, 27 Aug 2017Ok. So, what is your conclusion exactly? You sound like you hate all processors. I dont know w... moreNo I doesn't dislike soc...
I test mt6577,6582, 6592, 6752, 6753, 6735M, 6737, X20
Rk3066, rk3188, rk3288
Amlogic s802, s812, s912
The next one will be rtd1295 for NAS and SATA compatibility
I will never buy Qualcomm (the only I buy is HTC Hero), but I have many in hands, never been impressed by S8xx serie (seen all of them except 835) No problem they work well, but scores in benchmarks doesn't reflect reallity...real usage between 820 and 625 or X20 isn't that huge.
Never seen any 64bits as bad as 410 or 615...even mt6735M at 1.0ghz run raster than 410 at 1.2ghz
I like some from them like 625, great one! Run well, not make for benchmarks
What I dislike is abuse of dominance of Qualcomm...
I would see more X30 on serious grand like HTC or Sony
I would see Intel back on smartphone.
I would see kirin or exynos on something else than Huawei or Samsung.
I think all that stop what I would like is Qualcomm's patent

Luxor, 26 Aug 2017At that last part, are you talking about $150 mediatek device being compared with $500 Qualcom... moreWhen on a 500dollars smartphone you have to give 5% fees - 25dollars - to Qualcomm for patents even if you use Mediatek or...
And your high end soc cost 50 or 60 dollars, most important part of it aren't related to patents...
You're surprised if brands take both patents and soc from Qualcomm?
80% of Qualcomm's benefits are related to patents! 80% and you Say patents isn't thé problem!!!!
X10 and X20 aren't high end. Mediatek can't afford making high end each year.
Mediatek released only two high end soc : mt6595 and X30...
Mt6595 was used on two phones Meizu MX4 and Zopo ZP999/3X
X30 is used on Meizu Pro 7 high edition and Pro 7 Plus.
How can I tell you about 5 flagships? They don't exist!
Tell me how many flagships exist with high end Z3580 from Intel???
If you don't make your own smartphone like Samsung, Huawei or Apple it is difficult to sell à high end soc!
Tell me how many soc designers left the smartphone marketing?
Intel, NVIDIA, Broadcom, Texas instruments, st-microelectronics...
Considering all that compagnies who left, it think Qualcomm poisonned the market with cdma/lte patents...
If autorities let them buy NXP Semi-conducteurs, I think they will poisonned it with NFC too...
Now you talk about non Helio soc from Mediatek. Try a mt6737 in entry level, you can compare it to S425...I see it in reallity on uhans A101, it runs quite well on a 70€ phones.
I have seen 6737T and 6750 for Real, but I think 6750 is close to 430.
You can clearly tell that the picture of the back of the phone is fake the rectangle cut out is completely off and not proportion to the camera.
I like the portrait mode selfie. The blur really looks natural compared to others. Maybe theirs can be adjusted compared to others that are fixed and can't adjust the heaviness of the blur.
Seriously does anyone put their phone screen down in favor of screen up?

But you don't kn... moreAt that last part, are you talking about $150 mediatek device being compared with $500 Qualcomm device? Because I'm pretty sure we are comparing with $530 Meizu Pro 7 plus powered by Helio X30. You keep talking about cheap brand. Lets compare it with $362 Xiaomi Mi6 with SD835 then. Patent fees bullshit is just excuses. Mediatek is not always cheap either. Just admit it Mediatek make craps, except Helio series which is admitedly not bad. Helio X20 in Redmi Note 4 have great performance but somehow I dont know why all Mediatek phone have very poor camera. Is there any major brand ever release a phone with Mediatek most powerful flagship chipset aka Helio X30. I dare you to list down top 5 most impressive Mediatek flagship phone that way better than others with the likes of Qualcomm or Exynos or Kirin etc.
Luxor, 26 Aug 2017All of that processors you just mentioned are not even used anymore in new phones. Why even ne... moreLow audio quality?
Integrate DAC is more than correct! 110dB SNR on Helio!!! But you don't know that !!!
But when cheap brands integrate a bad ampli behind it, is it Linked to Mediatek?
ImagiQ ISP on Helio are capable, if cheap brands use Bad lenses and horrible software (funny pink image on some of them), is it Linked to Mediatek?
Heating? Stupide rumors on X20! Nothing close to how 810 throttle...nearly all S8xx throttle more or less, people think only 810 does.
I see some cheap brands provide devices on which it was the fingerprint sensor that heating!
Stop comparing 150€ devices from unknow brands to 500dollars devices!!
Luxor, 26 Aug 2017All of that processors you just mentioned are not even used anymore in new phones. Why even ne... moreNow all is OK but,
Mt6750 is at the same level than 435
P20/25 is at the same level than 625/626 and provide a better isp than 625 (modern photo effect)
X30 will be at the same level than 835 except in 3d benchmarks...but very very close in Real game.
And there will be P30 to go against 660.
About 410, 615, 810 is that even if Qualcomm make craps, they sell tons if them in us/europe, much more than far beter competitors.brands doen't care because customers doen't care and to get cdma/lte patents.
Mediatek's provide h265 and vp9 decoding far before Qualcomm, nobody talk about that.
Provide soc able of dual camera effect before Huawei/Apple, nobody talk about it.
Provide distant charging
X30 is able of dual sim volte, not 835.
Provide payement protocole bases on bluetooth, cheaper than NFC, without any RFID and any antenna (but lower bandwidth wich is useless for payement)...Hot Knot, nobody cares...now we will pay patents to Qualcomm because autorities let them buy NXP Semiconductors.
Decacore, heterogene multiprocessing, shared cache between clusters are available on mediatek's corepilot 3 and 4...it's the next step of ARM...it will be call DynamIQ and will replace Big.LITTLE
Everybody laugh at homogene A7 octacores (mt6592), it was a good soc...the lack of 4g was it's main problème...now everybody do homogene A53 octacores
Instead of that everybody talk about Qualcomm Custom cores that aren't better than standard ARM...
Everybody think Krait on 800/801/805 were better than cortex A15/A17!
Now latest kryo are close to A73 design!
Over 300dollars, patents fees make that it's difficult to use something else than Qualcomm's soc...
Except when you're making your on soc (like Samsung/Huawei/Apple)

Try s810 and X20 on the sam... moreAll of that processors you just mentioned are not even used anymore in new phones. Why even need to compare processors that has been phase out? Lol. SD410, SD615 & SD810? Not a single major brand released with that this year or even last year. Update yourself buddy. We are using SD435, SD625, SD660 & SD835 this year. And how many years has Mediatek been using same old MT6752 & SD6732? Where the updated version from Mediatek? Not to mentioned the overheating problem from Mediatek chipset. Low audio quality and terrible camera processing too on mediatek. Qualcomm has prove itself over the years to be more battery efficient than any competitors and more capable in camera processing. You can see why Mediatek device so cheap.

Belongs to a chinese who works for Xiaomi and previouly works...for Qualcomm? Give 60k points in 3D to S820 and 20k to kirin 950...and Guess what? for exemple : Real Racing 3...60fps on Mate 8, 45fps on S820 in fullhd, same settings!!!!
Pcmarks?...troll some devices...see one get 0 points in video test and decode 4k h265 on regular video players! (Rk3288)
If you get benchmarks scores without any analysis, you make a postale!
Benchmarks are free. Who pay for their developpement ???
For 3D, try real games with FPS measures...you will send Antutu/gfxbench and others to trash!

Qualcomm sells false 64bits on 410?
You can support a firm condamned by China, Korea, loose against blackberry, is under inquiries in Europe and usa for patent abuse...
Ask you some questions about these patents (why international frequencies are only available on Xiaomi with qualcomm's (mediatek's are physicaly able to)?
I hope to see more serious brands with Mediatek's.
Without that we will have monopole!

AnonD-402029, 25 Aug 2017"outperform in benchmark"? really? benchmark? u buy phone based on benchmark? even snapdragon ... moreNo. I dont buy base on benchmark. I buy base on processor brand. I only buy Qualcomm anyway. Mediatek havent proof anything amazing to me. All they do is keep adding cores. How many cores have they done? Was it 10 or 12 cores chipsets? Doesnt seem to outperform at all on benchmark with all that cores. And yes, snapdragon 660 is way better than any of the midrange mediatek chipset in my opinion.

Did you even s... moreActually, I have been using different SD highend for 5 yrs now (SD 801,805,810,820,835) and they always overheat and kill my battery in gaming. In real world usage, people can't tell the difference. If you only rely on benchmarks, then that's just sad. Benchmarks never show realworld usage. No one is gonna complain that their t-rex demo is running 2x faster offscreen @ 120fps when u wont be able to see it. Most screens are limited to 60hz anyways. And no one will complain that their browser loads 1/100 of a second faster.
You know what people actually complain about? Phones that overheat and stutters coz their highend Snapdragon SoC is throttling down while eating your battery up.
