There hasnt been a word about it in over 1 year.
They didnt say it was cancelled, but neither there are any more news about it.

If i remember correctly it has Snapdragon 810.

Anonymous, 24 Aug 2017The 810 was known for overheating,not the 820All high-end Snapdgagons heat up too much. Even the 625 soc heats up when put on charger.

ZTE Axon 7 can be bought now for about $300 new.
Anyway, even if a few people buy it, they turn out profitable!

ROFL, it even has the same dual AKM dac chip combo as axon7(ak4961 and ak4490). So it trully is a re branded version of it, with probably worse software support, though zte are already pretty terrible at that part...
