I bet the blue is going to be that pale sh*t ugly blue they've had on their mobiles in the past. That kind of colour you would pay money to get rid of.

I wish it was a 4.8 inch screen and same dimensions to slightly reduce the bezels for Sony to keep competitive.
It feels more and more that Sony is playing catch up and if this is the true design they may be even falling further behind.
I love Sony and want them to do well but I'm not sure if they are being competitive enough especially for the price they are asking

Anonymous, 26 Aug 2017too thick,top and bottom bezels looks ugly.the phone looks ugly :(Don't know why people hate the SONY design but that squarish design with top and bottom bezels gives it a unique touch. That design gives it a Premium look. The flagships of other brands all having similar thin bezel design makes it unnoticeable. When you buy a phone from a premium brand and people looking at it mistake it for some low end brand due to its resemblance in design the point of having a premium phone is lost. Premium phone must stand out from others and should be easily noticeable for the brand it is.

I like Sony's Boxy Design... It's nice to grab and easy to reach button placement...
I also like the UI... Right now I'm using Samsung J7 Prime and iPhone 5S... I've used Xperia P, Blackberry Curve, Xperia Z3C, and Xiaomi Mi4i before... I think Sony's UI is better than all of the phones that I've tried... It's simple, neat, and light...
One drawbacks of Sony phones in my Country is the Service Center... They're sucks...

Japanese had very narrow bezel phones years ago (Sharp Aquois for example). However, large screen / narrow / no bezel have the problems such a less rigid phone and single hand control issues. Just make sure you don't drop it from more than 6 inches.

Trimming those bezels at the top and bottom makes the phone's footprint smaller w/c will make the handling much easier. Sony please listen to us. it's time to trim those bezels. You may follow samsung by removing the sony logo and leave all the necessary elements. I like the stereo speaker design of my Z5c. the bottom bezel is acceptable but the top is'nt. Make the compact phone smaller and add a little more grip at the back and sides so we'll not need to apply skins to our compacts. Guess I was spoiled by my good old xperia Ray that I easily slip in my pocket. Thanks

Those bezelless lovers can suck those fragile displ... moreWell, I use my phone like I guess most people do, I don't hold the phone on my hand by touching the top- or bottom bezels. Just a regular grab-grip of the phone does the trick, also with works with the small phones I've owned in the past. No issues.

The point of compact phone is to be able to handle it easily with one hand, but if you're going to remove the bezels, then how the f*** are you supposed to hold the phone without having the screen touched?

Clearly no t even remotely pink, but it's the most awesome colour, second only to the HTC 711 Solar Red.
Just a shame it's on this tiny, micro-sized XZ1 Compact, which disqualified it.
Now if they would do a decently sized 6" XZ1 Ultra, using exactly the same colour, *and* equipped with a Fingerprint scanner, I doubt I would be able to resist it.
