Amazon and Whole Foods said they'd match up to $1 million donated to the Red Cross through the Amazon site.

They doing something... moreGoogle created a dedicated disaster response map and announced it would donate a $250,000 grant to the Red Cross and match another $250,000 from employees. Microsoft also said it would give the Red Cross an "initial grant" of $100,000.

They doing something good and people complain. Where are the other brands of yours and why they not donating. As Google is just as rich too. Apple makes money, people lose their mind. Google makes money and steals people's data and passes it on, nobody bats an eye.

(We have seen this model used in Denmark on national collections for foreign catastrophes)

Apple have near 300 billion US dollars in account in Iceland. Money, not transferred to America because of lower taxes in Iceland. Instead to donate, Apple preffer to ask YOU to donate to the red cross.
Oh, and the article "Unfortunately, Apple's link is only for people in the US."... USA had enough money sucked from all over the world. They do not need donations outside US.
