Looks like Symbian^3 Anna update is round the corner. I found these two video which was uploaded yesterday. Seems to be genuine from Nokia. It also talks about NFC enablement as well.

[deleted post]agree. At least he should've given users an alternative (symbian/meego) even if he chooses to partner with his "American" boss.

Does android has kind of support of at least 5 years?....n0pe of c0rse....because g0ogle and oem's only making m0ney in android...I think the support of android is 0nly 18 m0nths(its maximum)

Sorry droid fanboys they only want your money...than giving supp0rt or updates to their ph0nes.. :c

about this dual core story...every OS can be modified or updated for dual core support. so can symbian. Symbian is a lightweight OS...with a 1 GHz CPU it easily does what a dual core android phone does.

[deleted post]yes she can quite easily utilise my rather nice looking powerful dual core handset, which is quite a good thing really as the symbian device she tried last was bleedin awful

Nokia have NOT promised anything since 'November 2010'
Nokia have said this year, that Symbian Anna will be out for the 2nd quarter of this year, and that is exactly what will happen. It's the blogs/sites/tweeters and people like you (trolls) who keep saying the same old tiresome comments about it, when the fact is, Nokia have only officially mentioned it twice this year. Everything is on track, as they said it would be. Now pootle off back to your troll cave.

Funny how Fandroids are straight on here. Nokia really must be popular XD

It will be nice when some proper OPTIMISED operating systems start to dominate again rather than the same old same old. Yawn.

Still waiting for that fabled Anna update... been promised since November 2010. Most manufacturers release updates in a matter of weeks. Enjoy 5 more years of being left in the dust of every other OS! Have fun, see you at the finish line!

This is good news, and shows Nokia is far from "dead". Far eastern crap will never be better than Finlands finest.

Symbian for years to come + WP7.1 + Meego = dominance once again.

                                        So So Stupid.

Nokia need to get with the fact that Symbian is going downhill and that Android will dominate the market in the next couple of years.
If Nokia want to save employees and make more profit they need to stop being so proud of their own operating system and get in partnership with google.
