And last I saw a while back was on the less than 30 subpixels is pentile. While it's less than 3 on a phone.
And you are just talking about calibration and differring tech. Smoked can be made to go brighter and showing different black levels is a matter of quality and calibration.
And picture quality not an advantage of oled?

I bet people will still comment about amoled colour oversaturation, burn ins and discolorations every years, even Samsung was making best screens since S5 times :)

Amoled is step forward for oled.

People, if you think Displaymate is lying, then ok. Prove it by providing factual evidence that shows that Samsung's diaplays AREN'T the best in a smartphone. Your baseless, personal opinion doesn't mean jack. And burn-in happens if you keep your screen turned on a static image for a VERY extensive period of time, which usually don't hapen in everyday use. And trust me, once you start to watch movies on SAMOLED, you can never go back.

They said exact the same thing about the S8 display and we all know what happened - many users reported problems with some kind of red display tint that was never fixet but hidden with the software fix. There were always problems with OLED displays, I remember it since the S2 times. To get good quality OLED in S-phone is a lottery.

An... moreBigger the display, with same resolution to go.. how can oled be superior? pentile displays definitely have less number of pixels as compared to oleds right? and by versatile I mean the video situation.. in bright areas the dynamic range of Qled is superior that any oled.. and if you are into shady situations, oleds have a hard time contrasting the different shades of black... I know its hard to explain and difference is very small.. Oleds definitely have some advantages , like true blacks.. better viewing angles, and efficiency.. but picture quality is not one of them.. I would like to see samsung implementing amoled in TV, because they can.. but they just wouldn't.. they are so arrogant.. if they launch oled, its gonna be the best.. and also same for the consumer.. nonetheless samsung can push qled because, samsung TVs sell so well, no matter the technology.. For the past 10 years they are the TV market leader.. its about trust.. My main point is, they have the money to innovate.. they have something unique.. and please dont put LCD and qled in the same page, without seeing them up front.. qled is that much better

We can say that almost for sure. And while small there is definitely a chance of matching it or having some advantage in at least some aspect. Bringing over their clear pixel or surprising everyone with a new peak brightness or lower reflectance etc etc. Maybe even 4K. That would really bring a blow to Samsung.
Doubtful I know. But all small possibilities.

It's so funny on here the minute Samsung receive praise for there technologies the trollz start emerging! Especially the crapple ones, it's rather ironic really considering crapple has ordered I do believe 70 million amoled screens from Samsung.
