AnonD-39937, 29 Aug 2017Yeah, we know, DisplayMate every year says a Samsung phone has "the best" display...Display mate is joke testing only samsung phones .samsung has monopoly as everthing
Speak for yourself. I don't mine the curved edges they feel pretty nice
AnonD-120062, 29 Aug 2017Until iPhone 8/X Still won't be
S7E and Pixel XL have same screen.
Results are different.
So, they are checking the image also, not only display..
AnonD-120062, 29 Aug 2017Until iPhone 8/X ....for which the screens will be made by Samsung.
Until iPhone 8/X
yesterday i went to a supermarket and had a look at it (they already had demo Note 8).
what can i say?
Of course Note 8 screen WAS the best display around...
until it was RUINED by Samsung with unwanted curved edges.
the screen is now extra fragile and has SUPER GLARES on curved edges.
I saw the Note 8 screen for about 3 minutes under a bright Seattle sun over the weekend - it was stunning: the screen brightness was indeed noticeably brighter than the S8+ I had. This is the simply the best screen I have yet seen under the sun, even though it was only briefly. Samsung have definitely nailed that part.
Best display in the market hands down, but quality-wise, that's another story.
My friend and I bought the S7 Edge last year when we attend university. Guess what? Both of our devices have a faulty display, there are black dots and lines on the screen, my friend was lucky as he got it fixed under warranty. Mine? The fault come right after my warranty lapsed, man the S7 Edge was the flagship and they ain't cheap, now when I send my phone to their service center, they quote me a staggerin 250+ dollar fee. Quite disappointed, but yet the device is so good to use, I'd hang with buddies in evening and when everyone try to take pic outdoor, my phone is the only one that can actually take a decent picture.
"Best screen" and in the end it's worth nothing because it's impractical, with a small battery and unjustly expensive in relation to the S8 and S8+ ... so the S-pen does not value that money.
The system of implementing two cameras instead of one is nothing new or advanced compared to the competition, I would say that Samsung just followed the trend without any more invested effort
And again ... it's not worth the money ... nor has space on the market with that price next to the S8 + ...
I wrote a few months ago that Samsung with the S8 + production reduced the maneuvering space for Notes when it came out on the market so that the phenomenon of cannibalism in the family is inevitable ... and the victim will naturally be Note ...
Customers thought that the 8+ changes Notes and the sale of the S8 + itself showed this, although Samsung cunningly unites the sale S8 and 8 talking about their best-selling model, they are nevertheless different phone categories and the Note will soon see it
S8 has 142% sRGB. Note only 141%
they are best each year since galaxy s5.. nothing new they make best display in the world... nobody comes close lol.... huawei and oneplus should buy display from samsung haha.
DisplayMate is praising Samsung again. I don't agree with their comment that Samsung updates their AMOLED technology twice a year. The S8/S8+ display is the same technology as the Note7, only the physical sizes/aspect ratio are different.
The Note 8's display seems their latest and greatest as I was lucky enough to play with the Note 8 at my local grocery store when this article was posted. The tall aspect ratio isn't much of an issue now as it is a bit wider than the S8/s8+. However, it is now so tall that your eyes tend to ignore display's top portion unless you need to look at the info bar.
Landscape mode and content that fills the screen is impressive, it immerses.
Unfortunately, I have nothing to do with the Note 8 as I have no plans buying it. It is too expensive, battery capacity is small, stylus I will never use, and a fingerprint reader that is virtually useless. The Note 8's fingerprint reader has the worst location ever. It is the worst as the Note8 is so tall that the reader is further up the phone and unreachable unless you are at least 6 foot tall.
AnonD-623516, 29 Aug 2017best display has the sony 4k hdr xzpremium sorry not sorryMay be they haven't tested Sony display...
Or GSM Arena didn't make it public, but i am going there to see what happened...
AnonD-598695, 29 Aug 2017Still, there will be no visible difference when you put it against G6.Against LG G6?
LOL, the difference is a lot, just try to compare by yourself.
