Sure it would be great if they went to a nearby shop and borrowed every phone to test it but that's not how it works. Sites like DisplayMate or this one have to get a review unit. I'm writing music reviews and get free CDs and mp3 and it's not even a well known website.
hopefully this pushes JDI to do even better. They've been so lackluster lately. the 4k hdr is impressive for being worlds first but when the peak brightness and color gamut is so much better it kind of nullifies the higher resolution.

Hollywood and Technicolor calls those Sony BVM OLED monitors the reference standard.

They just tested Apple & Samsung's displays but what about other OEMs displays. No doubt that Samsung has best display but it would have been more credible and complete claim if they had tested variety of displays.

Their TV panels aren't great anymore, Sony X900E, ZD9, X940E have surpassed Samsung QLED.

best screen but not practicality. and ppl will choose the best screen as always.

Other OEM's displays, including Sony's 4K Xperia display, can't match up.
The only improvement i can see is "higher peak brightness".
DisplayMate should also review other OEM's displays too if they want to label "the best".
