i agree, nokiaphones has alot of features that helped alot of people specially with symbian.....we should really thank symbian for all those years when iphones or androids were not around....

Symbian is better on a lot of accounts. Imagine a symbian device with 450k apps and a retina screen. Nobody will complain about that.

Symbian is better than iOS but when it comes to speed. Symbian is not best by far in the business. Just fix the speed and it'll help you gain alot of costumers/buyers and modify some of your software.

OK guys Firstly Nokia dominates India. India has literally grown up on NOKIA. NOKIA taught India all about mobile telephony. I always feel reassured that some Finnish geeks take such care of India. Anything that NOKIA does in India is a success. So this campaign is merely a reinforcement from NOKIA.
Secondly guys pls stop comparing Symbian-Android-BBOS-iOS-Bada-WP with each other. Its like comparing apple-orange-gooseberry-mango-banana-melon. WE all like different fruits & we all like fruit salad and we all have a favourite fruit. I use all the platforms & I enjoy all of them.

Nokia, you said you are going to focuse on windows phone 7. But still you are producing symbian phones. Are you going to buy them yourselves?
Nokia dont know how to raise symbian again. Let me show them.
1. Rewrite symbian to support a resolution up to 1280x720
2. Make sure it have the latest flash version. Remove the signing of application before installing, from it. Make sure the user can optionaly access every file.
3. Put it on high ram and processors.
Now make this phone.
Screen size - 4 or 4.3inches
screen resolution - 1280x720. E6 have 640x480 on that small screen size, so you can do this. If 2.46=640x480 then 4.3=? Pls solve.
Ram - 1gb
cpu - 1.2ghz dual or more
the rest should be the specs on the N8.
........symbian will be no.1 again.......

Im not going to defend nokia as im an iphone user but really this is my first and last iphone EVER! such a stupid phone! One day someone asked me to send him a song via bluetooth from my iphone and i couldnt find it anywhere how to send the song until i found that the iphone cant send files via bluetooth, i was so emberrased of my phone... Also i am not confortable with apple spying/tracking all iphone users!
I think android and symbian are the BEST! ios is too stupid and limited while windows phone looks like ios's child, also stupid and limited...

after i read all the comments bellow it made me feel more prouder with my n8, like a daddy being proud with his son for doing a lot of good things in his school. Lesser limitation really with ios. Really hate apple.

Also, people here need to understand the Indian market. It is different from many other places like US or UK and such.
I am not from India but I can see why they will attract with this. And I am sure Nokia will not use this same campaign at other places but only India-like places.
