This 6.2" phone would make sense if it is released as the Xperia XZ1 Ultra. The XZ1 and XZ1 Compact have screens that are too small for those of us who prefer a phablet-sized browsing experience. Currently, Sony does not offer a flagship phablet, which means they are currently missing a pretty big market segment, so I'd be surprised if the"XZ1 Ultra" is not officially announced before this coming holiday season.

@GSMArena............any follow up on this particular phone? I noticed that you are the only one that has reported this and nothing is appearing in Phone Arena or Xperia Blog? Id be interested as to a review and how it looks like and maybe getting the phone in the future.

Anonymous, 31 Aug 2017Phones are no longer a phones, except feature phones. Smartphones are still primarily phones. Most apps are designed for 16:9 displays and it'll stay this way forever. Watching movies on a 6" screen is not a pleasant experience.

The 12.3" reading is a glitch. The phone is 4K native / FHD running, exactly an XZ Premium on 6.2". XZ/XZ1 Ultra with SD835/Adreno 540.
