I had X10...its to late for them to conquer trust again. 7x for repair. 2 update with months between. Now i have htc desire hd....a hell of a phone!!!and it has multitouch since I've bought it loool

Just to clarify the phone gets updated. It just happens earlier via the PC as opposed to OTA. Great product, makes me proud everytime I find new features that are not featured as primary reasons to update.

Over the air updates are super delayed in South Africa. PC updates are earlier. Updated my x10 twice, both times the update did not show via the phone update check. Once plugged into PC the Sony software nearly screams that an update is availoeable.

Well this confirm my theory.
Android don't make upgrades for everyone...but in this case the Companies not give the support they deserve.
Shame on Sony, if they sold products they have to give the support they deserve and for which they paid....

My experience was so bad I went back to a non smart phone Sony Ericsson and got rid of my nokia

Anonymous, 30 May 2011The point is that there still people with this phone in the market, not everyone can buy anoth... moreI agree. This is the first time in 12 years where I am actually thinking that I may not even ask for a new phone when my contract renews - and that is nothing to do with the update that made today's news. The X10 and the mini are both excellent devices, the mini really is the swiss-army knife of the 21st century. It is encouraging to see that some manufacturers are not adopting a fire-and-forget attitude to products in their portfolio which have proven to be very popular.
