Anonymous, 01 Sep 2017having oreo at launch is better than having nougat at launch and then waiting for oreo update...Debatable if it's "better"... first it's Google, so you'll definitely get it sooner rather than later. Then, if you get Oreo *now*, the ugly truth no-one wants to speak about is you'll effectively be a beta tester for the new system. It's only "better" if you don't mind this.

I was looking Xiaomi phones but well I cant wait and I ordered Leagoo Kiicaa Mix for something 90 euro. And well none of Xiaomi phones were what I wanted. For me phone body cant be more then 145mm long. But that Leagoo has 5.5" FHD screen(Body is under 142mm), 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM with some MTK6750T cpu and Mali860MP2 gpu. It will cover most of my needs for a phone and I don't see any competition for that price to get better one. And it has even a USB 3.0 type C and droid 7.0

Seems like a great evolution. Bigger battery at thinner bezels and a more comfortable size. If they also offer a 5" version with those bezels, it would be in my size category.

Google only promises updates for its phones Nexus /Pixel /Android One only for 2 years and Security updates for up to three years and Not any more than that

Also Google Directly maintains updates for Android One Devices So its very fast as compared to other OEMs

Anonymous, 01 Sep 2017Most Indians buy value for money (read cheap) phones. Personal preferences comes next. Totally agree.
Any manufacturer throw their products in India and make it as test market for their cheap phones.
