Luxor, 03 Sep 2017Im surprised most vote goes to LG V30. I felt that Xperia XZ1 is more affordable thus, I voted... moreYeah, just for look. The V30 has a P-OLED, SD835, quad-Dac, f/1.6 back and f/1.9 front just for looks. I totally get it

The LG v30 is very impressive but glass on the and front makes the phone very fragile against drops so no by for me but the XZ1 has Nice design and a metalbody which makes the phone more durable and the XZ1 come with android 8.0 out of the box and it is cheaper as well

AnonD-563937, 03 Sep 2017i never felt aneed for stereo speakers , only thing i do with the speakers is ringtones lol , ... moreKinda shame, smartphones were made with an ability to do anything possible, more every year, now half-year. Sony concentrates on just camera and leaves part of mobile industry - another connected mobile devices. Sensors, functions were extended to these, "gear" like devices, but sony lacks even in in-smartphone ones. Own pay service, assistent, identification sensors, camera UI, input features, up to date and leading hw(other than just camera and screen). Even if they would copy others and offer tele camera with their sensors, or something else it would be more exciting. Watches, phone vr gears, 360 cameras, tablets and other smart devices is what I miss too. Sony?

The LG V30 is MIL-STD-810G certified - or, in other words, resistant to most drops. In fact, LG has done a masterpiece here - a nicely looking screen with very few bezels, while still being resistant to drops. Oh, and the screen is P-OLED, so if you manage to crack it somehow, you'll have to replace only the glass - not the display. And it doesn't have any accidental touch problems - the bezels on sides are actually bigger than it looks at first - just look closer.

I liked XA1+.

Flagship camera, FPS, 5.5 FHD, 3430 mAh, 32gb

What I do not like is the fact that if spwaker is beside usb, the thing on lower bezel is pointless

V30: clearly the best
XZ1: good evolution, but they could have at least sliced off the bezels a few .x mm. Instead, they made them even bigger than before. Since Z3, their bezels are becoming bigger with every generation
XZ1 Compact: finally a small high-end phone, but I would have appreciated if they had the bigger bezel at the top and the smaller bezel at the bottom. The way it is now, it looks strange. And the materials are again a downgrade from XZ1
X4: would have been great if it just hadn't that FREAKIN SD625. Why not 660??

Phablet is about 6inch displays, it is not easy for carry as a (smart) phone.

Obviously best is best of best, best of us, flagship of smartphone, new, exciting, unexpected. From all this only V30 comes to mind. Because smart-phone tech should go fast-forward.

The CAT S41 could've been the best if they didn't put that MT chip inside ( I mean it would literally crush all of its opponents without getting a scrach). Sony's design hasn't evolved significantly for years. And that "sensor bar" is weird. The V30 slaps an S8 front with the back of the G6 but for me it feels like it's not enough. The X4 is a bit underpowered (why not the SD660?) and their naming system is extra confusing (X>Z Play but no mods)

I think the best phones of IFA are the LG V30, the XZ1 Compact and the Moto X4 in that order. All three are pretty good.

The XZ1 doesn't have the same wow-factor after the X Performance, XZ, XZs & XZ Premium.

The V30 has the same SD835 4gb as the XZ1. The only difference is the expected Oreo which LG have said they'll send out ASAP. Sony and LG pricing have rarely been far apart. People do care about the insides of a phone. But ergonomics are just as important.
