Excellent.
I was a Philips user for Mobile and later because no more in Europe a Sony/Ericsson and Sony user. Because only this Japanese company in Europe for Mobile.
If Sharp back in Europe it will be a great alternative for change !
Come on Sharp !
Alien, 02 Sep 2017Not quite. The Essential phone looks very similar but it lacks SD card slot which is a must fo... morebetter processor is a really big deal though. but i heard sharp is making an s3
Anonymous, 02 Sep 2017Sharp for life? It must be written Sharp for death. Lol.Foxconn now owns Sharp, Troll.
What!!! I wasn't expecting Sharp to really release their phones outside of China/Taiwan/Japan, finallly I can get one!!!! They have really nice screen.
AnonD-521587, 02 Sep 2017s2 is basically the essential phone. in that case i would get the essential phone. Not quite. The Essential phone looks very similar but it lacks SD card slot which is a must for me.
Also it is available only in the US and i live in Europe.
The only advantage the essential phone has is better processor.
Alien, 02 Sep 2017Same here! I have an Xperia and was thinking that the only other brand i would buy phones from... mores2 is basically the essential phone. in that case i would get the essential phone.
Kobresia, 01 Sep 2017Sharp is my second choice after Xperia. Same here! I have an Xperia and was thinking that the only other brand i would buy phones from is Sharp. I saw the concept photo for the S3 and I'm sold. Now i have to wait till next year or buy the S2.
Sharp for life? It must be written Sharp for death. Lol.
EDDDDDDDDD, 01 Sep 2017I once had a Sharp phone more than 10 years ago. when phone screen started to switch from mono... moreThey didn't disappear they just sold their phones mostly in Japan
"here comes a new challenger!"
I had a few great Sharp phones (still keep one with an incredible (for the time!) 3MP camera), they used to be an exclusive to Vodafone here in Portugal, I couldn't stand that everybody used Nokia's!
I once had a Sharp phone more than 10 years ago. when phone screen started to switch from monochrome to colour screens. I remember how good it was at the time. Then they just disappeared from making mobile phones
This is good news, and I will be even more happy, if Japan build Sharp phones would also be launched in Europe. I know that Foxconn has bought Sharp, but they doesn't own the whole company. I would like to see made in Japan Sharp devices in Europe, but I doubt this will happen. Most probably we will see Foxconn made Sharp devices, which ofcourse could be good too.
If Sharp enters globally, then bezellessness game will be over for the other players. :-P
Kobresia, 01 Sep 2017Sharp is my second choice after Xperia. Same! Great to see another Japanese company release phones in Europe!
I wish they did this 10 years early, when they were ages ahead of their competition.
