I can see a lot arguments are around in this comment section. so to clear things here
              1) Android one will not be launched in China because China don't allow Google play services
              2) First gen Android one devices (all three Indian models ) received two major Android update (5 and 6) with monthly security patch for 2 years so this phone will receive updates.
              3) Snapdragon 625 is not bad, a bit old but still powerful and efficient.
              4) It will get great community support just like Android one first gen(sprout) and second gen (seed) so, a lot of custom ROMs.

Android One won't release in China [Because Google Services are not allowed in China without which there is no Android One ] So it will only be India For Now as Xiaomi has clearly tweeted that they will be creating a new Series For India.

Are you ready for a new series by Xiaomi? What do you think weÂÂ’re going to launch? #PortrayYourself

Of course people are gonna complain when Moto X4 on Snapdragon 630 is already out so for anything else that comes later it just seems plain lazy for OEMs to just re-use current models.

Why does India deserve better chipset than Xiaomi's home country? As far as I know China always launch the better models only for themselves. What about pricing wise? Will it be cheaper or more expensive than Mi 5X? You must think of all the factors.

I did not know this Mi A1 going to be launch only in India. Where you get that news? I also did not know Mi 5X only for China because as of recently I have read that Xiaomi going to launch Mi 5X globally. But that still doesnt justify it to have better chipset than its China counterpart, the Mi 5X. That is the main argument here.

To me the SoC seems to be more of Snapdragon 630 with dual channel memory at 1113 Hz frequency.

Mi A1 and Mi5x are for different markets so how will they eat into each others profit

Mi5x is only for China and it won't be launched in India

And MiA1 will only Be launched in India and not in China

Do you think people will start importing huge no of phones from China and Vise Versa So that they will eat into each others profit

These two phones are for different markers and Xiaomi has no problem with them eating into each others profits

And Mi A1 won't kill Mi5X in any way ,shape or form

Also regarding stock android its better in many ways than miui cause of faster updates also its stable and bug free,Smooth and battery efficient which results in better battery life and bloatware free os

In contrast Miui is a bloated OS with unnecessary features ,Buggy software and you will have to just forget about Android updates as you will only get Miui updates also its just an imitation of iOS

Hence It depends on people as to what they prefer a stable bug free Os with frequent updates or a Huge laggy Os filled with unnecessary features and no updates at all.

And Regarding Cameras Pixel was one of the best camera phones of last year with Stock Android

Anonymous, 02 Sep 2017Actually that's why google partnered with Nokia. BTW Android One And Partnership with Nokia are two different things
In case of Android One google directly updates the phones

But when it comes to Nokia it's Nokia who is updating the phones
Same as Motorola and other phones who use stock Android.
