No need for me to upgrade this year. I was considering iPhone 8 but thinking both the Note9 and iPhone 8s will feature the fingerprint sensor on the display. Just a waste of a grand.

The Nokia 8 probably won't arrive in my country through a carrier. The Pixel 2 is more of the same. And this V30 will be $750 initially before dropping to $400 in 2-3 months.

LG = Ross Dress For Less

Brand name clothes but immediate discount because of the hidden flaws.

2018 is the year to upgrade and even then, I wouldn't notice a difference from my 2016 phones.

Mohammed Habra, 02 Sep 2017This is the Best smartphone in 2017 ... Goodbye Samsung .. Goodbye Sony .. I've found the best... moreIts dramatically far from the best camera.
The audio sounds great and should be amazing. But may not be the absolute best. Should be on paper.
So weak camera, not best screen, probably lesser battery life, less features, so on.
Where does this beat the Note 8 except for maybe audio? And on the small possibility only beats the snapdragon audio?
The single wolfson DAC still might offer similar quality in some aspects.

Id rather have a bootloop issue than my battery blowing up! Lets not forget that. With the childish comment aside, the bootloop issue has long been solved. Don't live in the past, mature up.

Perfect phablet for 2017, can't fault this device. Stellar features that matter.

Ill be buying one and I urge everybody to pull their heads in, $900+ for a phone is pure terrorism.

Im Jones and thats my take.

That means it'll cost 800 euros or more in Europe. Fail again LG...

Instead of keeping prospective users waiting for a month, they should have started selling this thing already. New iphone will come out in Sep12 and all media will be after that. Note 8 will come out as well. No more marketing space for LG. So whoever wanting to buy the V30 will loose interest and go after something else. LG as a brand will always be below Samsung and Apple and those who buy LG phones are the ones who really research and see good things in it.

Anonymous, 01 Sep 2017That's ridiculous for so the corners they cut that even $300-500 phones have. Just because i... moreWhat corners are you talking about that they cut. Its more like they added some corners. It is better than note 8.

They should do something about their pricing and also their update support.

Lg can't compete with samsung regardless of what people on the net say as they are biased and only want to attack

Lg has forgot it's no longer one of the top brands..
                      More than $700 for this
People care about brand and brand value aftersale
Even if they buy iphone or galaxy for 1000$, they can still sell for a good price while lg and others have very low selling point

Plus s8 costs less, why choose this? Two cameras and some audio capability that most people won't benefit from simce they use their cheap earphones?

So tricky and so pathetic! Buy this overpriced brick of garbage called LG for 1000$ and get even more useless chunk of garbage. So in LG style. Are they really think people aroud are all dumbs? Are there some adequate people in this company even exist?
