Gandalfdenvite, 04 Sep 2017That just prove what is wrong with the world today, some can spend $1,000 on a toy/phone while... moreDeal with it, it's their business and it's always business. The technology is evolving and people wants to get a piece of that thing. Yes, some people can afford to buy these things and some are not, but in the end it's in you if you want to get the latest gadgets. And these companies are taking the advantage because They know people still want to buy these things even if it's way to expensive, they want to suck peoples money to survive. That's life.

But the irony is that those who can't afford food breed like animals and bring more mouths to feed in this world. Still there is No effective way of population control in third world countries.

There too many well performing phones in the mid-range market to pay that kind of money.

People complaining about high prices really underestimate the power of carriers and number of millionaires in this world.

Gandalfdenvite, 04 Sep 2017That just prove what is wrong with the world today, some can spend $1,000 on a toy/phone while... morethose that cannot afford food will not buy iphone,or any apple product..Apple is not a brand for people with limited budget...
Since Apple is not making a unique must have product, i dont see the problem, apple always been the premium brand. But hey, we have phones very good at half of that price, or products for everybody wallets

Haha Apple and Samsung are launching phones that simply are so expensive yet cost so little to make! The sad thing is that all the other fly by nights will want to jump in on the band wagon.

Hopefully some won't be so greedy and will see a market to exploit, After all HTC and LG and Sony could attract a lot mm ore customers if they up there game not to mention some others whose components may be a lot to be desired.

Sooner or later these astronomical prices by Apple and Samsung will reach break point and sales will plummet, Then we will see better value for money!!

calm down ppl, it is normal if apple success in selling 1000$ phone. human is getting rich, thats why. they see rich ppl, they take money from rich ppl. apple does nothing wrong if their customer still willing to pay 1000$ for iphone 8. besides, we still dont know what kind of tech iphone 8 will deliver with the insane price tag.

before any of you getting mad, take a look at Aliexpress. there are lots of unheard chinese phone with great specs and lower price than samsung/sony/etc. for some peace of mind. of course, if you want to think out of the box*.

Oh no-one. This is one reason why last year models can beat newest Android devices in speed tests, read and write speeds are very big with these.

Thats why things like this happens https://youtu.be/dJOWBUsEFfk look the speed with that 4k video render. 2.50 and you see what it does.

How far the mighty has fallen. In Job's days Apple would never "release" a phone without having actual products to sell. Tim Crook has begun stooping to the vapour-ware product announcements, just to "stay relevant".

Anonymous, 04 Sep 2017Ikr? 1,000 dollars for a phone that will be obsolete after a year. Obsolete? My 4 year old iPhone 5S still gets the latest updates. If my phone can still be supported twice as long as Android's then the iPhone 8 can do the same.
