Nokia should go all out and release an Android/MeeGo/Symbian-triple-boot-phone. I like their hardware, but I don't like Symbian anymore.

If I ever buy a Windows Phone, it'll be a Nokia for sure. The N8's build feels great and the display is nice too (resolution is too low, though).

I could have waited for the price to drop, but waiting longer means more new phones will be released. So, it is pointless to wait for the price to drop while the market keeps getting introduced with new phones.

People buy nokia phones because not everybody is a android sheep follower. Most people buy nokia phones because of their great hardware with great battery life, build quality, free gps, and signal reception. All the fancy stuff can come later. Besides, symbian can do everything that android does with better battery life. 90% of android phones battery life is beyond terrible. Yall act like Symbian is the worst OS when really it's not at all. The new Symbian platform can download and play movies, play emulators with roms, open rar files, and all that fancy stuff.

I have to agree with the comments that the specs are fine for Symbian, but the price is way too high for today's market. You simply can't charge a premium for dated hardware. I'm sure these phones will be great devices, but they should retail at half their current prices.

There are better alternatives to these phone which should have been released 2 years ago. Even the first iPhone which was released in 2007 have way better UI, UX and browser. That's how outdated Nokia is; even Elop admitted it.

No idea why the prices in other countries are so expensive. In Malaysia E6 is confirmed to retail for RM 1155 off contract, i.e. approx USD $385/ €265.

[deleted post]Still no smooth web browser for Nokia symbian phone, new opera works perfectly on iPhone 3GS (2009), zooming is butter smooth. iPhone neither need those 1ghz cpu, but guees what, you need to keep up competition by making powerful phones like everyone else than Nokia is doing.

So tell me if it's not about cpu why still no smooth browser in Nokia symbian phones, everyone else has it with same new opera, why nokia's opera lags?

Have you used a bada device? I happen to have had a feel of the wave and its horrible at multitasking. The interface is allright but when you try switching between apps or closing them, you it switches to slow-mo.closing an app may take minutes.

and those off you comparing costs to specs, the hardware on the iphone costs only a dollar more than that used in the n8 yet in stores it retails for three times the price

I will wait for the Nokia W series.

Yesterday I was playing with a new HTC device with WP7 (upgraded) but not mango :( and is just impressive, is fast, responsive, and was testing aside with an Xperia X10 and Samsung Galaxy i9000 (Almost same specs) and the SG1 was slow, clumsy and unresponsive, frozen 2 times and we had to restarted once.

I don't like criticize gadgets but like I said befor I like to make an opinion when I TEST IN PERSON the devices, and the HTC 7 Surround with WP7 is far superior to SG1 with Android 2.3 in every way.

The restrictions means nothing a la par to performance and usability.

Web surfing is Just INCREDIBLE, fast and responsive, the multitouch feature is very responsive without any slow, multimedia zune is far superior to the ugly multimedia player on the SG1, the camera tools are just right, and the list is endless...In the SG1 even see photos make it slugg :(

Even the multitasking feature is a killing option for SG1 is make it very slow. I don't know if Android fanboys will be mad, but I had the 2 devices on my hand and believeme WP7 is far superior...the Xperia don't need any mantion is way mre slow and slugg than SG1

I can't wait for the Nokia W series with Mango, if I was impressed with HTC 7 Sorruind I will be more impressed with Nokia gadgets and W series will be a real hit if they put the right hardware on it :D
