For me the best launcher is the one that allows customization via a theme engine. Stock android is fast, simple and all, but I hate its color palette.
Right now I'm on GraceUX and Nova launcher Prime, good combination. The result may seem a little heavy, but I do not get any significant slowdowns and it looks exactly as I want it to.

Anonymous, 10 Sep 2017Sony skin is like stock! I don't know about Sony-Stock differences, but I'm sure its FAR more beautiful compared to Samsungs skin.
And i just forgot to mention that i personally dont find Samsung skin to be as Laggy as people always say, sure it is a bit slower but not as MUCH as people blame.

I actually use Lollipop Launcher on my phone, used to always use Apex in the past.

Samsung hands down. Samsung has everything all other "skins" do plus more. Sony has the worst. It's extremely dated.

I've had a nova prime for a good few years now and it's gotta be one of the if not the best launcher for smoothness and also functions. Touchwiz has come a long way from what it used to be so have to give Samsung props there, not surprised it's at 2nd place.

Definitely Nova, but out of stock ones, I have only tried Samsung's, HTC's, Google's, and LG's. Samsung is my favorite as it has a lot of features, LG comes next, then HTC's (though HTC looks great and I have a soft spot for it but it's been since the M9 that I haven't tried it so I don't know how it is now). Google's has nothing special.

Huawei is by far the worst. I've never seen something so user-unfriendly. I also think Miui is too heavy, but they have a great system where even really old phones can run the latest version so I'll give them that.

One of the best things about it is that you can set transparent gifs as icons.
Just delete all the screens when you first launch it and go through all the settings.
