The Google Pixel will launch with the snapdragon 835, will be as expensive as the first one and the oneplus 5 will still be king on benchmarks.
The pixel tho will have an outstanding camera, the best around and will be as fast as the oneplus 5. Won't have as big bezels than the predecessor but a few surprises will come to the pixel.

Anonymous, 06 Sep 2017Phones run different OS. It is way easier to run iOS. Install Android on iphone 7+, I doubt ... moreSorry to disapoint, but in a speed test the oneplus 5 just kicked the iphone 7+ by opening Apps faster than the iphone. In terms of performance the snapdragon is still faster than the iphone 7 and faster than the samsung s8.
The 2 crown kings on antutu is oneplus 5 at first place and HTC u11 in second
I got myself a oneplus 5 and it's a beast, a mean kit of electronics set to destroy the competition out of the portion.
I'm expecting Apple to release a really good SOC for the next iphone series because Snapdragon is prepared for any competition.

Great! no one need these pointless SOCs where they only increase CPU clock and market it as a different processor

TechLover1, 06 Sep 2017Unfortunately (bad news).Don't be sad, it might just be called the SD837 or 838...
At least they don't do like Intel and have 200 different CPUS in the same generation

Anonymous, 06 Sep 2017True just like SD 820/(OC)821The 821 isn't only an OC. It was "enhanced" to feature lower power consumption under a higher clock usage and a same TDP. Also notice the MSM8996AB, another 821 used in the Pixels that have the same clock rate as the 820 and a fairly lower battery usage.

Anonymous, 06 Sep 2017True just like SD 820/(OC)821Or like the QSD 800, and (OC) 801.

I suspect a QSD 836 is in the works, but it might not necessarily be called a "836".
However, the idea above about the getting the 2W QSD 805 overclocked to a 5W TDP for tablets/laptops seems like a good idea that Qualcomm and Microsoft might be researching themselves.

Ritzie, 05 Sep 2017It might be because it's reserved for the ARM-powered Windows PC... who knows... *shrugs*If ARM Windows will happen, then may we'll see a decent WM phone and decent Mobile OS from Microsoft after all.
