AnonD-666681, 13 Sep 2017And Romanian's size? Exactly...Romania is about 238,400 km². So USA is abou t 40 times larger not 1000 times.
Singapore is very small, a small city state.
USA has 50 states and 5 territories in its federation, but few are highly populated and industrialized. Romania is about an average state in USA and Europe as size and population and industrialization.
Anonymous, 09 Sep 2017USA land size 9,147,590 km2 and.... Singapore 719.1 km2. Just divided it by using your calculator. And Romanian's size? Exactly...
Vegetaholic, 08 Sep 2017Someone skip geographical lessons during school time. USA is one of the biggest countries in a... moreNever said it wasn't one of the biggest countries, but 1000 times bigger than Romania?
And indictating that size is equal to difficulty in setting things up? Especially when you consider the US is more advanced in terms of economy, infrastructure and technology is not correct, is it?
Straight Talk is the best!!
TMobile is slightly better than Sprint. At least you can roam on T-Mobile for free.
It is about the cost. Germany cannot afford flat rate for unlimited mobile data like USA with T-Mobile, despite owning T-Mobile. Same goes with the cars, German cars made in Germany are more expensive when sold in Germany than US. In the end the highest affordability factor which is: f = (speed x data-size) / cost, is in USA.
Anonymous, 10 Sep 2017if you talk about tower support, the list goes Verizon>AT&T>>Sprint=TMobileYes. Good point. Speed is irrelevant without connectivity! If one can't get a signal then the speed is zero. :)

Anonymous, 08 Sep 2017here in the Philippines we have the globe, Pldt, and smart that can provide 10MB only but when... morethe transition and loading of your games also depends on your phone specs as well, not just the download speed of your network
Anonymous, 09 Sep 2017USA land size 9,147,590 km2 and.... Singapore 719.1 km2. Just divided it by using your calculator.Exactly I just wanted to tell a scope how many times it is bigger than Romanians and Singapures, so I should said 10k
T-Mobile is fast....if your phone can get a signal.

Just divided it by using your calculator. The difference is x12,700 larger for USA.
However, I doubt most of the data includes the Average Speed, Top Speed, and Percentage of Acceptable Speed in certain deserted locations like the open desert, thick woods, and Alaskan ice sheets.
So we can see that if you use these extreme metrics like high land size (>300,000km2), high populations (>50 Million), and high GDP (>$300,000 Million total), you're going to get skewed results... and it would be a fruitless endeavour.
It's probably more realistic to simply compare USA's average speed of ~20Mbps (or top of +23) and compare that to average to other 1st-2nd world nations. If you want a more Apples-to-Apples, perhaps target countries with similar nominal GDP (>$700 mean weekly income) and land tolerance (>5,000m2 per capita).
AnonD-666681, 08 Sep 20171000 times? What kind of dodgy calculator are you using to come up with this false figure?!USA land size 9,147,590 km2 and.... Singapore 719.1 km2.

AnonD-454153, 08 Sep 2017Europe is 10 years ahead of us when it comes to download speed ,damn u have slow download and ... moreWhere to live? For me it feels that Europe is behind because of the alps and the big height differents so the signal and the speed is slower

here in the Philippines we have the globe, Pldt, and smart that can provide 10MB only but when you are browsing and playing online games its like 100yrs of waiting for that damn loading ^___^ peace :p
1000 times? What kind of dodgy calculator are you using to come up with this false figure?!
AnonD-611364, 08 Sep 2017In Singapore, I am getting 100MBps average though. I thought US was gonna be faster than this ... moreUS is 1000 times bigger than your Singapore's or Romanias with wide open areas an desserts, it is 1000 times harder to make reception and speed faster do to vastness and requirements for more cell towers, so it is completely normal for them not to be between fastest nations with mobile speeds
Europe is 10 years ahead of us when it comes to download speed ,damn u have slow download and upload :O
I've been using T-Mobile here in the US for 12+ years. No complaints on data speed. Still cheaper than Verizon and AT&T, though the AT&T plans are almost as cheap now, depending in your needs.
