Android are carried by most smartphone brands, IOS is exclusive to one device, same as Blackberry OS. What's the point of comparison? Blackberry and Apple vs the world!

what it camed out this year in terms of android devices, doesn't look, feel or performs like last year
android are embeding new tehnologies in to their os, it keeps updating

[deleted post]None of those features add anything special to android for me. SMS apps, mp3 player...theyre pointless additions as every phone can already play mp3s and sms. Anyone any suggestions of KILLER apps for android to explain to me some cool features like flash etc. Cant get it working well enough to do anything on android 2.1

Max, 01 Jun 2011 What is it that you find worth in apple app....??????I write music with my iPhone, use it for organising business, I can play the newest games, all the other features (sms/web/email) are similar and no need to compare. I cant find any good games bar angry birds which is out ages. Noone wants to develop on android because everyone roots their phone and piracy is rife. Just wish someone could show me anything decent on andoid you cant do on iPhone

not bad for iOS since it's only available on two or three devices.

AnonD-9874, 01 Jun 2011hi, all you guys do you know? IOS has only three devices ie, iphone, ipod touch and ipad, on t... morereally ?

ios runs on

iphone , iphone 3g ,iphone 3gs , iphone 4
ipod touch (4 devices again)
ipad 1 , ipad 2

and again divide them :
iphone 4gb,8gb,16gb,32gb

total iphones = 2 + 2 + 3 + 2 = 9
ipod touches = 2 + 2 + 2 + 3 = 9 (because 3rd gen and 2nd gen 8gb itouch are same)
ipads = 6 + 6 = 12
ipod nano = 2

32 devices totally

because each device has different storage, diffrence in weight and also each one is different price
so each one is independent.

312 devices of android vs 30 devices of iOS :P

READ FULL PLZ

iOS too has good features than android and android-to pulling-off the race with maintainence of good features.

iOS back in 2009 has accessory support which google introduced it in 2011 last month exactly 2 years behind iOS and iOS also leading in quality-quantity of apps-market till today (profits i mean)
most people who used ipods around 2001-2006 and also itunes users switched to iphone around 2007-2009.

those were really advantages apple had back then and also MAC support

but today ANDROID too made so many leaps forward.
on other hand android has basic features like video-calling-3g/4g , flash-enabled , customization-of-devices etc etc .
ofcourse its OPEN source.

this year google gonna introduce cloud services and accessory support.

while most people who use amazon, symbian switch to android since amazon too supports android and symbian-Open-source-OS .

and google has really covered all advantages which apple had been having for 4 long years (music/multimedia service-itunes , apps-available , hardware)

99% of people buy iphone for software while remaining 1% are fanboys
(300%-sure)

while android gives choice to consumers.
consumers who cant afford or people who want "use-n-throw" can buy a low end device while people who really can afford can buy top-end-phones.

and people also have chocie for screen sizes, memory, storage etc etc

100% of people choose android for "hardware-choice + software"

so android has double advantage and also multimedia media-services from both amazon+google.

whats more ? android winning hand now

Android is by far the most versatile OS. It suits most people's wishes and needs, so this is not a surprise. Moreover it's blazing fast, vibrant and has such a great variety of phones to choose from that almost everyone will find it's own little 'baby' ;-)

I'd have to disagree with the article title. iOS is not a "close second" in fact what is interesting is the RIM is a close third.
