Clearly, this just confirms that price was never an issue for a phone cause no matter how much it cost, people would still buy it. That is why OEMs are still confident in hiking the prices cause they know that people would still grab it even at prices hitting $1000.

In every "pre-order" article, I always wonder if they include the stores orders. Because it's far more interesting how a unit performs in pre-order status, by quantifying the individual consumer pre-orders.
