So apparently all these companies are stupid enough Not to start working on the New version while they are still in Beta to have everything ready as Soon as possible! It's so sad that consumers have to endure such laziness!

gsmarena, can you send this message to Samsung to add on future update Oreo for Samsung S8.
        1. Adding a zoom for a video on record button as a photo mode have,
        2. A smoother frame rate for 4K video,
        3. And camera should use a flash bit more on low light, for example when ISO rise more than a 800 it should fire a flash, for crispy and clear photo's!

So again people are gonna complain about samsung not getting android update right away? In samsungs defense, they had popup window and split screen, or even split screen with even multiple popups. Above all the other extra features touchwiz always adds, and has been lightening up with the dumb extras as well. Sounds more like apple fan boys complaining, Samsung may be behind in android updating, but its leveled, or often ahead in features, and if you know how to use android, you can customize sammy any way you'd like... so for the most beautiful phone that all the other guys are following now, sammy wins.

A company like Samsung with so many resources and employees should update their phones in no time "the might not implement all features" means that some features are already implemented in the grace UX though it would be conflicting with each other.

Wandile, 09 Sep 2017I have been with Samsung from day one and it's about time I say "No more". From the SG, SGS3,... moreLG mobile is more worst at updating their smartphones. If software update is so important for you or it just your very concern then I suggest you that you should think about for that even more.

I've had 3 Samsung phones prior to getting my s8 plus and tbh I've come to terms with Samsungs update policy, while it may not be the best as they have a million and one phones and variants to update at least they do provide at least 2 years worth of and do is version updates for their flagship, and I do consider the s8/s8 plus flagship over the note8.

BEGINS?! The updates have been out for a while now even for homebrew coders. How come Samsung begins to work on them? I assumed they have for a few months now and they will be out in a month or two.

Even Asus is great with updates. My Zenfone Max is on March 5, 2017 security patch - yep, not the latest, but compared to any Samsung budget counterpart of this, this is far more updated.
Even LG's G4 is still at October 2016 security patch.
