That is an impressive technological feat, considering even the smallest viruses and bacterias are 20nm in size. the HIV virus is 140nm, and the samsung transistors are 7nm only. We are heading towards a saturation point beyond which transistors can not be made any smaller.

So the Galaxy S9 wouldn't have a 7nm SoC? That would be very disappointing!
Only the Note 9 would have one?
i wish 7nm is not an excuse for samsung to use 1000mah battery in their flagship..
Samsung the best
Currently Samsung makes the best wafers.
However their 10nm wafers are barely better than Intel's 14nm++ FinFet wafers.
So it means Samsung's 11nm wafers will again be better than Intel's best, but just barely.
Samsung's 7nm wafers might be worse than Intel's 10nm wafers.
Afterall, these two companies measure the densities very differently.
"premium" > "high-end"
words dont mean anything anymore lol.
