Moreover, it was Palm Pre, Motorola, Samsung, HTC, Vivo among others who were involved in some of the innovation you mentioned other than megapixels and OIS in true sense that they revolutionised. They used to own highest number of patents in mobile communication alongside Motorola but we never know how much do they still own in the relevant field as they are always bought and sold every year based on its usefulness.
Its tough for Nokia to play the catch up game..though its better late than never.
Being a former nokia user myself..I wish they started it early with Meego/Symbian in the touchscreen market making the 3rd alternative.
A11 still wipes the floor with the 835.

... moreHere in sweden, the retailers actually make a 50Euro loss if just selling the iPhone barebone. They gain there money on the carrier services when selling a package deal. That's how crazy expensive apple is. Nokia 8 on the other hand they make around 20€ profit bare bone. But still they display iPhone more than Nokia, which in my opinion is killing their own company. But people but on old habits, many people. There are few above 40 that actually read the spec, they just buy because its a new phone of the same brand..and looks nice.
Like a hypnotized sheep =)
There are a lot more to add to that list, both features and phones that were a lot earlier, most of them coming from the company that has most phone related patents in the world (and is now finally coming back on the right OS =D ). There might be even earlier phones for some features, but these come from the top of my head.
1. 2012 - wireless charging Nokia Lumia 920
2. 2015 - Iris scanner. Lumia 950 & xl
3. 2013 - 41Mpix large chip image sensor with smart downscale to 8Mpix and real zoom (actual on chip zoom) - Nokia Lumia 1020
4.2012- Optical image stabilisation - Nokia Lumia 920
5. 2012 - HAAC microphones - Nokia Lumia 920
6. 2017 - Ozo spatial surround sound that can be played back in any phone, stereo aso without any special decoder - Nokia 8
7. 2012 - Display with 60Hz update rate (in reality closer to 110Hz) - Nokia Lumia 920
8. 2013 - AmOled display - Nokia Lumia 1020

Wow! The heat is definitely on. Qualcomm is right that many have demonstrated and used tech before Apple adopts it and makes it sound like they are the pioneers of it.
But still some of the sample devices chosen by Qualcomm don't seem to give justice to the early adopters. For example, Dual Camera's sample could have been a LG device like the G5, OLED Display should have been an Samsung Galaxy. Also many of the sample devices happen to be Galaxy S8, when they were actually available on earlier phones (including previous Galaxies).
Wickiraman , 12 Sep 2017Apple = All These Brands.. Ha Ha :)more like apple playing catch-up with all these brands

LoL...
Moreover, no company provides 5years software support like Apple do.
I got ios11 on my iPhone5s(2013)....
Okay it's not so easy to say that or the other, but basically speaking what Qualcomm said is true.
It seems Qualcomm is highlighting features found in various handsets. Would it not be more impressive to have one handset with all those features, rather than compromise? It is more dumbfounded Apple didn't need these features to have the iPhone be the best selling smartphone, huh?
This is a failed dig at Apple, most likely to cover for Verizon retiring their CDMA networks next year. Qualcomm has innovated so much with their technologies. I am deeply painful they resort to such juvenile attacks. Is their any proof Qualcomm oversaw these technological marvels they propped up?
There are plenty of reasons to attack Apple, and plenty of other people would be happy to do that. If anything, this greatly inflated my opinion of the three year old HTC One (M8). iNever have used an iPhone in my entire life. My next phone will be MediaTek, or HiSilicon.

A long time ago, when everyone was hyped for the StarTAC, I had a Qualcomm phone and it was a great phone at the time, much better that the other options of the moment.
