Anonymous, 12 Sep 2017still SD835 cant beat Apple A11 processor in single core performance...Even on multicore. SD835 can't beat the A11. It's over 9,000!
So what Qualcomm did was use the reference of any android maker out there, which is like 40 companies to bang up on 1 and only Apple. No wonder Apple dumped these clowns.
still SD835 cant beat Apple A11 processor in single core performance...
So it's Apple vs 20 other manufacturers. These are unrealistic expectations to set on one company you guys want to pin everything against Apple right now.
i23, 12 Sep 2017We need a powerful soc to beat appleThe soc in best Android phones is much more powerful, but simply do much more job.
Still iPhones a sower in most of the apps exept of the games .
AnonD-535480, 12 Sep 2017Lol, Qualcomm is getting desperate and nervous. I would too, because this lawsuit has the pot... moreLol. You do realise that without Qualcomm, your phone won't be able to make calls anyways. Enjoy that fancy 720p display without any LTE or wireless connection for your I thingy. Apple is at loss here. Qualcomm earns from patents. Apple doesn't sell theirs . If iPhone won't make calls , what will they sell. You?
And in 2018 the first comercial foldable Android phones with a single display. With Apple praising in 2019-2020-2021... to be able to buy that technology from LG, Samsung, etc and sell it for a stratospheric price like if they invented it :"D
I feel warmth that HTC One M8 is on the top two list!
What a classic device, toobad the camera is underpar.
HTC should've given it 12MP of HTC10, and their fate wouldn't on the brink as of today.
AnonD-535480, 12 Sep 2017Lol, Qualcomm is getting desperate and nervous. I would too, because this lawsuit has the pot... moreAlthough I think where the current lawsuit is concerned both Apple and Qcom are both in the wrong (Qcom more than Apple), I do not see how siding with Apple will benefit any of the major OEMs. Without Qcom all the major OEMs (except for probably Samsung) will be like fish out of the water. Who's going to give them their flagship chipsets, MediaTek? Samsung and HiSilicon probably could but they'll be much more costlier than Qcom and that's just part of the problem. Qcom owns and provides a lot of proprietary technology used in Snapdragon powered Android phones (ISPs and DSPs for example) and without these inbuilt features, most smartphones, including high-end ones, would be pretty average and way too similar to each other. And this is just Android, Qcom's contributions and more importantly, licensed technologies in other IT fields is another matter altogether.
We need a powerful soc to beat apple
This is not exactly Battle with Apple ..apple is the own Ios And Android for google ..apple and android is not similar 100% difference between 2 ..so this is could not be battle between 2 Ios Haha will loss if you buy 3-4k prices phone if not include Processor..
Anonymous, 12 Sep 2017Android phone users are living in 2017 while apple users are living in 2010.. LOL!then its amazing how thier outdated SoC's still mops the floor with the flagship grade counterparts offered by Qualcomm...puzzling really how 2017 SoC is beaten senseless by a 2010 SoC from apple. even if we take a "2007 SoC an Apple A9x conpare it to the all mighty sd835 helio blabla number or exynos whatever, apples chip will still beat them without trying". wake up its not about specs on paper its about how the device works daily. i use android phones daily and they suck so bad the response is absolutely terrible. i wonder what will it F*@kn take for Android device manufacturers to realise that when some of us press a button on this flagship grade phones we expect immediate response not some brick that thinks at a sloths running pace.

Facial recognition on qualcomm is not the same tech that Apple is said to launch which uses 3d cameras similar to the Windows hello realsense 3d style. My guess is it's not as advanced but a good first step for phone devices.
