I was never a iPhone user. Android and Sony user for more than a decade. However, this time, i have to say, I am totally impressed with iPhoneX. I just hope build quality is as good as Sony as well. i will miss fingerprint sensor, but i will surely give X a shot. i am dropping Note from my buy list for second phone. I will get a iPhone for a change for very first time.
Hoffmann, 12 Sep 2017For that price, I would take the iPhone X anytime before Note8 for sure !Smart!
Soory, but that's not bezel less, there's plenty of bezel compared to other android phones.
"with a failure rate of 1,000,000 to 1"
I guess you meant 1 to 1,000,000? As in one failure per million attempts?
All you guys complaining about the X's high price, it's nearly $1400 in India as per a news site. The 256GB version could well be over $1500 !!!
Hmm, nice but $1600- $1785 Australian. Oh no. no thanks. little bit overkill on and for a phone
Interestingly the new 8 models have resolutions from Android Flagships atlest 3-5 years ago. Also, then the iPhone X doesn't Have anywhere near QHD resolution.
Also, interestingly the Note has the OIS on Both cameras and f2.4 lens on the zoom lens camera, both features that find themselves on the New iPhone's DUAL Cameras (and they have an f1.8 lens for the Samsung's f1.7 lens). Wow.
No wonder nobody is innovating anymore.
Darshada, 12 Sep 2017What about the waterproof protection? Does it have one at all? And also how does this Amoled ... moreyep it is water resistant. retina displays by definition have lower ppi's than other displays
8 vs X differences
No home button
Single-speaker vs dual
Bigger battery capacity on the X
Is it worth an extra $300 when the 8 has the same A11 Bionic, glass rear cameras as 8 Plus, and wireless charging? Hell, no. Apple will always be a ripoff.
But I have low overhead and can afford to piss away $1000+ on a smartphone that's faster than a 2017 MacBook Pro with i5. I'm just a little ticked what a boring keynote it was only to have to wait October 27 to preorder it and November 3 to maybe receive it.
The iPhone 10 is it, folks. At least with the wait, you can start selling your old crap and start saving up for the $999+ iPhone X.
Design of iPhone x looks great but not to diffrent from essential and mi mix 2 phones. Great for Apple fans to finally get a complete redesign.
For me s8 and note 8 have the best designs flowed by the v30 and Mi mix 2.
Apple outdid themselves today; they introduced a phone that's even uglier than the iPhone 7! Amazing!
For that price, I would take the iPhone X anytime before Note8 for sure !
LG superfan, 12 Sep 2017At this price its tough between note8 and iphoneX the first iphone that interest meThe Note8 still has so much going for it and many more deals and sales going on in places.
The X has A11 if it's even actually as fast as it claims. Still fast enough either way though.
"the resolution is 1,125 x 2,436px"
What's with Apple and weird resolutions? Will the next device have a prime number x a power of e?
Anonymous, 12 Sep 2017Oh yes if you watch the streaming they focused lights on the iPhone X place to avoid the fail ... moreHahaha. I noticed that too. The Face Recognition actually FAILED during the launch. So much for their Billion Faces gas. It was Too Funny. He immediately fed in a number password.
Duel, 12 Sep 2017"The best color accuracy in the industry.
The advanced color management system in the Super R... moreWhere did that come from? I highly doubt it though. Or maybe a hair better.
They already lied on their site saying it's the first oled of their quality standard. Meanwhile Samsung's displays have been beating theirs for many years. Go figure.
Mobile freek, 12 Sep 2017GSM arena, please change the title... The iPhone x is not having amoled screen... It is havi... moreThe "AM" part of AMOLED refers to the active matrix technology used to drive the panel. Using its passive alternative is simply not feasible for high resolutions displays, such as those inside smartphones. So, the panel Apple is using is definitely AMOLED.
Now, on the other hand, P-OLED and Super AMOLED refer to different things in their own right. But, if you want us to get into that, we can dedicate a separate article.
