Mike Greene, 12 Sep 2017Very immature phone, these features animojis are something very kiddish. Note 8 is for true me... moreNote 8 is ridiculously bad for keeping Notes. Its aspect ratio is goid for mviies, incredibly bad for notes. It is basically the smalllest Note ever for Note taking. Also bad processor and battery (like S8).
Note 7 was better, and Note 4 the best of all (if you can ignore the camera).
LGV30, 13 Sep 2017they are not luxury segment, Apple certainly don't market iPhones like that, they emphasize ho... moreThat's not true. In reality, the products are much more expensive in the poor countries like Eastern Europe than in the rich countries like USA. Always only USA gets the cheapest prices and deals.
And now I should mention the fact that the only reason why USA and the western world is so rich is that they conquered/colonized and robbed out the rest of the world.
This phone seems an expensive bad face wash or a failed cosmetic surgery with good SoC plus average components/accesories. No remarkable innovation. Or have not invested too much or wasted so much for such a mediocre even bad result. But expensive like only itself.
looking at this phone doesn't make me feel amazing, IMHO the only thing that interest me is the A11 chip and that's all.
Obi Wan Kenobi, 13 Sep 2017The most impressive iPhone of all times without a doubt, not just by looks but also in the amo... moreFinally a constructive and subjective comment!
I think this is the first time we can just pick a phone based on the OS and not hardware!!!
I agree that the design is not as sleek as on the S8 but I am waiting to see the durability tests and reviews. Maybe the screen is better protected and having not curved screen is more usable. My only concern is that the fastest phone for the next 12 months will (most likely) be the iphone 8. Faster than the iphone x and any other smartphone. Higher resolution on the ipX but same CPU.
LGV30, 13 Sep 2017they are not luxury segment, Apple certainly don't market iPhones like that, they emphasize ho... morethey are not luxury. They are premium. They don't release low or mid rangers. It is a company that is focused on computing and media. Samsung is not a premium brand! But it has premium products like the note 8! But it is NOT a premium brand. They develop 100 phones each year. Low end, mid rangers and high end. Samsung has a device for everyone. Apple only for the rich. iOS is for people that CONSUME! No piracy on iOS. No apk sideloading, no downloaded movies from torrents, no downloaded mp3s. People who buy apple products are subscribed to streaming services. It is very common in the West. Internet plans are very cheap. Apps sell more or iOS than Android. Think of apple products like porsche cars, they are more expensive to run and more expensive to service than a Nissan.
Also come on man Samsung sells microwaves, fridges, air conditioners. Now tell me does the same samsung washing machine cost vastly different in India than Europe? Products are not services. If the iphone was cheaper in India than the rest of the word then people would buy from India. #Globalisation. Also selling abroad IS more costly for a company. Get real. If Apple is not a premium brand then which brand is? Samsung? lg?
Can't afford it? Don't buy it. Can just afford it but don't want to spend a penny afterwards? Don't buy it.
Very nice phone with fast charging an all, but the price tag. S8 comes in at 689 with fingerprint scanner. Iphone 10 is mind blowing 1000 without fingerprint scanner. Not telling if the iphone facial recognition work better then the samsung, but samsung also included facial recognigion unlock and curved edge. If a thief got hold off the phone guessing a face from holding up a pic to unlock a sansung could still be a tricky job. No doubt. Some apple website won't function on android phone such as media direct off apples website itself. Also no icloud email will be usable in any android device. My suggestion is ditch the icloud account don't bother with facetime. Use what app instead and don't go on any apple website. Then no problem.
The most impressive iPhone of all times without a doubt, not just by looks but also in the amount of features it packs.
AMOLED screen in an iPhone, finally. Highest resolution for an iPhone too through it's not close to what Android flagships offer, resolution-wise.
Good bezel-less design, it's nice to see that Apple has embraced this design (Sony, wake up!). Though I must admit, the overall look and screen-to-body ratio is not as impressive as the LG V30, Note8, S8+ or the Original Mi Mix. Could be because of the screen cut-out or because of the small-yet-noticable bezel all around the Phone, unlike in the S8 (2 sides) and the Mi Mix (3 sides).
The lack of a fingerprint scanner or Iris Scanner is not good.(What if you want to secure the phone from your twin?)
But FaceID looks impressive with plenty of solid hardware to back it up and it looks like it could well be the future of all smartphones. Kudos to Apple, for innovating.
Animoji's and the selfie camera Potrait mode, look very interesting and cleverly leverage the hardware used for FaceID. Nice.
Wireless charging is a plus, especially with the neat new Apple AirPower that shows the charge level of each device.
The camera looks like it has been hugely improved with OIS added for the f2.4 telephoto lens, matching the Note8. It will be interesting to see the matchup although the Dual-Pixel & f1.7 main camera give the Note8 the upper hand.
Price is expensive, but that was to be expected. And finally, the lack of the useful reliable 3.5 mm headphone jack is still a major pain.
BTW, that is worst Apple designed wallpaper of all time. So jarring and unpolished.
dark lord, 12 Sep 2017Apple products are designed and marketed for the luxury segment. Apple knows what type of cons... morethey are not luxury segment, Apple certainly don't market iPhones like that, they emphasize how much normal person's life would benefit from using iPhone and how it's for everybody. Rolls Royce do not go out telling people their car is for everybody, that's luxury car. Apple would not sell these many phones if it weren't discounted by carriers or people didn't get 2 years to pay for a phone. Off course every phone maker is out there to do business and earn money but there's something called purchasing power parity. My point was Apple ignores that principal while pricing in different economies, there are examples such as 'Steam' who price the same game based on country's economy so if you shell out 60$ for a video game, the same game is not launched at same price in india steam store, Witcher 3 for example was retailing for 30$ under summer sale in US, same title was for roughly 7.5$ in India, do you think they don't do business or make money?
I just noticed the microphone at the top. Does it listen to your ear? Noise cancellation? I'm curious to see why it is there.
Oh yes, those animojis are going to be a huge hit at classes and at work. Apple employees should start to use them now. What fun.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McvLyEYwVvg&feature=youtu... moreYour in denial just to troll apple or u wasn't paying proper attention. When he wipes the sweat from his face, look at the screen carefully and READ what it says on the screen!
It clearly says please enter Pass code to enable face id and he did a mistake by not entering pass ode and trying to unlock it with his face.
Once it powers on, that's only time it asks for a pass ode to enable face/touch id.
Hope that clears up your misunderstanding or trolling for fun
