stobs, 13 Sep 2017India? well you aint the target market anywayThey shouldn't be launching it there then, they are launching it there and going with stupid pricing. Not that there aren't people who'll buy it, i just wanted to point out economics principal namely Purchasing Power Parity, which apple ignores.
Anonymous, 13 Sep 2017Iphones are not for low income people... just like Mercedes cars... there are cheaper phones y... morei don't know much about the requirement of the level of income but to waste 1000$ on a gadget that's not gonna stay ahead even for 6 months definitely requires 'Low Level' IQ, something difficult to find these days.
Inida, 13 Sep 2017what a house hold in India want from iPhone X, he should get a 150$ phone. Each person has ... moreI said average household income, doesn't mean person with that income is wishing to buy iphone X, just put into perspective apple absurdity with pricing which is not based on economy, if it ain't for india they might not very well launch it there but they are going to.
This is from live blog on Apple event 2017 at the time people were explaining features of Apple iPhone X
" There's an animated poop onstage. "If you were wondering what humanity would do when given access to the most advanced face tracking technology available, you now have your answer." "
They should have added a virtual home button, Home button is the signature of iOS and what defines iOS it's much as pristine as the navigation bar is to Android and start is to windows. The gestures are not pragmatic to navigate and multi task a complete system like iOS some may like it but i am sure most of iOS users would love the home button back while makes the gesture an optional and it can be accomplished with a simple software update.
Tann Hauser, 13 Sep 2017Oh, so much agreed... At first it was kinnda funny to see them in km lines.... Now.... after... moreThe apple is so proud of the new front camera tech and yet the most interesting thing people might wanna do with it is poop emoji and snapchat??? seriously what is is wrong with these guys??
Coming from a hardcore phone fanatic since 2004 and OS agnostic if I want to be who has jailbroken/rooted iPhones and Androids before, I'm getting X because how disappointing the Oreo update has been. I updated to Android 8 two weeks ago and it feels so incremental.
Going from iOS10 with home button to iOS11 without one on the X and using gesture swipes is a bigger leap. If you want to trash Apple for not innovating enough, then you should also trash Google and Samsung too. Ever since the Lollipop and the S6 edge, it's been the same ol' with those two as well.
AnonD-249626, 13 Sep 2017The first dual camera phone is from lg thoHuawei actually
Bezel-less? Not at all! In my opinion a disappointed design of both the 8-series and the new X. Furthermore SHAMELESS prices!!! Apple is getting more and more behind.
You gotta laugh at Apple's bs marketing terms. Super Retina Display? My HTC One M7 was 4.7" and 1080p. Had ppi of 469 which is higher than the X. That must be considered Super Retina too, right? That was 4.5 years ago! I still want a wireless future, so iPhone X, Apple Watch, AirPods, and AirPower it is!
At least iPhone 8 and X are using the Qii open standard. You can now charge your iPhone along with your other Android devices. They didn't go proprietary with it. Apple has never been about being first to offer it. They have always been about making it better and popularizing it..
Gesture controls ala webOS. File manager and drag and drop with iOS11. Getting the most popular smart watch in the industry to work alongside my iPhone X. Ditching wired headphones like people ditching wired controllers after the PlayStation 2 era. Charging them all in my car or in a Starbucks while taking a break.
Call it ugly. Call it iPhone Xpensive. Some of you will never really get it. You judge design by the back of a phone because of the camera hump? A side nobody looks at or can get covered up by a case. So looking at the back of a person's head is how you judge beauty too? Kids. Samsung charges $50 cheaper with Note8 and you expect Apple to be like Walmart or some Chinese brand by trying to undercut them?
Apple have always overcharged people the same way Bentley, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Ferrari, Lamborghini overcharges their wealthy customers. If you can't afford to fly first-class, stick to economy then. I will be an Android fan for life and plan to keep my G5 and V20 forever thanks to removable battery, microSD slot, IR blaster, and FM radio. But I'm sold on the iPhone X this year with webOS reincarnated.
Anonymous, 13 Sep 2017Then you don't understand what bezeless means.bezel=edges(noun)
the cut out at the top looks damn ugly. S8 still can arrange it better.
Btw, I think the tidiest bezel-less phone is LG G6, i like the flat screen, the not-so-tall body, and the more edgy phone shape. curved screen is just overrated. and, samsung and iPhone is having too big rounded corner for my taste.
How is Apple doing bezel-less? Where is the screen controller? Did Apple integrate the screen controller into the board and not the screen? Amazing
Hhmmmm. Why does the iPhone X remind me of my old Nokia N9 when it comes to gesture Ui?!?!?!
The N9 was definitely ahead of its game. What a shame, they had to get rid of it. Even the seamless integration of glass and body reminds me of that phone. I miss you N9
