Ubuntu meego, 13 Sep 2017I guess only India it's costly....UAE lowest also around 49k inrThe price in India includes the newly introduced GST ..... Thats the reason for the higher cost. In the U.S after you add the state levied sales tax the price will be somewhat closer to the Indian varient. Blame the Indian government... Not solely Apple. iPhones come under the premium luxury goods segment... as such warrant a higer tax.

Prices in India are plain outrageous. Better to go for the note 8 or the V30. By the way the X is pretty half baked imo. When that guy was all praise for the face ID at the Apple event yesterday and the face ID failed to recognise his face, he was terribly embarrassed. I am quite sure both face recognition and iris are extremely inconvenient compared to fingerprint after the initial honeymoon.

£700 for a fixed 64GB phone??? That was £500 a couple of years ago!

Yes, schools are mostly free.
But transport and utility bills wintertime are 1/3 of these 500-600 euro you get.
Food is expensive, clothes are expensive etc.
Medical care is yes mostly "free" if you have the guts to wait 6-9 months to get to the doctor... if not all is very-very expensive.
Well, It all can be free for you if you are migrant or "refugee" but NOT for locals.
