For this price I'd prefer iPhone. "Nokia" doing nothing special, average chinaphone, but extremely pricey.

Apple btw. always used very small sensors compared to others. That´s why iPhone 7 isn´t very good in low light. It´s all about costs.

The sensor isn't everything; remember that the Nokia 1020 had the same hardware as the 808 but took worse pictures due to Microsoft not allowing low level access to the hardware. Software is important and that's what I was referring to with Apple hiring so many former Carl Zeiss Nokia employees for their camera team.

Anonymous, 13 Sep 2017Nokia's camera department was mostly hired by Apple around 2013 or so. It's getting better.Its not about the camera dept. Most manufacturers dont even have one. and most manufacturers use pre-made modues from Sony Imaging. In fact 90% of phones, if not more have Sony sensors. Why couldnt Nokia buy the same sensor as in Pixel XL or HTC U11? Answer: they saw it as a way to cut cost. Same mistake as every other manufacturer with abysmal current gen camera reviews.

Spec sheet looks incredibly similarBig difference will likely what's missing on the 8, perhaps titantium/ceramic body, waterproof, thin bezels, maybe even AMOLED since it comes at a much higher price now. Bigger battery would also be pretty cool. They have some options if they are aiming this phone for the $700-800 price range.
