I got the T mobile variant last week. And couldn't find the option to take photos while recording video. I hope this will be fixed now.

Just updated. From Singapore.
I think I noticed after the update .... the face login is faster and definitely much reliable.
I had the problem of unlocking it using face id (quite a number of time) previously.
