7 Reasons why you should never buy an iPhone
1. It's overpriced crap
2. You pay more for specs and features from Android phones 4 years ago
3. No headphone jack
4. Overpriced accessories to get back lost functionality
5. Poor to mediocre battery life during use
6. Over dependency on iTunes to copy content
7. Not allowing 3rd party repairs or otherwise crippling your phone if you get them repaired by 3rd party repairs (*ehem* Error 53, iPhone 7 home button *ehem*)
This is obviously a phone and article for consumer iSheeps and there will be plenty to let Apple roll in their cash.
Brand new glass back and stronger glass? Plenty will buy cases to not break it since they were used bump the back like its still metal.
Wireless charging? Just another 100$ or more given to Apple when even the last year iPhone did not have proper fast charging.
The right move would be to wait until the price comes down 250$ to cover the air pods and wireless charger
Brett, 14 Sep 2017Whilst I agree that the X is ugly, you do realise the G6 and the S8 are exactly the same heigh... morenot just about the actual height. When looking at the S8, it feels so tall because we cannot see the solid sides. And I'm feeling like I'm holding a TV remote. I like solid sides and corners. Maybe it's just me, though. Sony is good but their bezels is too big for their regular phones, while they can make small bezels for their compact phones. Why Sony? Really strange.
Mei, 15 Sep 2017Which phone is your phone WickedWilly?I have Xiaomi and Samsung phones at the moment.
Okay i got it about the fast charging capability but, will apple include it in the box or you should buy it as a different accessories and if you should spend more money for the fast charger then apple is making his own grave when the other competitors make the fast charger included in the box. I hope apple can be more more generous for the accessories in the box
Anonymous, 14 Sep 2017That being said, you gotta admit that those specs you've mentioned are now exclusively set on ... moreFeatures like fast and wireless charging, waterproofing, great screen to body ratios, duel cameras and superior battery life can be found on many phones well under 800US. My phone has a superb battery life, fast charging, duel cameras and good screen to body ratios for under 400US
Okay, so the iPhone8 solves *some* of the issues that the 7 had. Problem is, iOwner never admitted any of those flaws. In their words, iPhone7 charges tremendously fast, had waaay enough storage, the best camera in the world, etc. Buying the 8 would be a double fail : admit you were lying about all these points, and admit you're not sucessful enough to have the iPhone X...
I don't know how it is in the US of A, but here in (continental) Europe iPhone owners tend to be seen as posers. Especially those who tend to expose their brand new toy in the weeks following Apple's keynotes. It's already ridiculous enough to have spent hours queuing to buy what is (after all) a mobile phone, who will want to admit s/he's so mingy s/he didn't get the Alpha Phone (the X) ?
After updated 10.3.3 my iPhone 7 charge 50% in 30 minutes. So one reason should be cut.
Most of the buyers of iPhone 8 and 8+ will be the ones who switch from Android or other OS to iOS, and owners on older iPhones (5 and 4).
There is no need to upgrade if you own 6 or 7.
If you are such iFan Boy, better go for iPhone X and test the sweetness of OLED display.
All 7 things which might make you buy IPhone 8,I am not even convinced of one, putty steeve jobbs
Lets be honest wireless charging is an old feature that most phone users failed to pick up on and being on an iPhone won't make this any better.
The only real upgrade here is the processor and i dont see any iP7 user complaining of having a slow phone. Anyone who switches from the 7 to 8 is either too much of an iPhone fan, or just trying to keep up with the latest trend but its really nothing technical.
Kristo Radion, 14 Sep 2017the X is sexy? not sleek, not slim at all, big overall bezels, looks bulky. plus the hilarious... moreG6 and S8 are the exact same height though. G6 is a touch wider as the bezels aren't curved. I've just put them side by side

Owners of ip7 don't have any reason to upgrade, since they still have great devices.
Others will buy 8, just because it is new and better than ip7 I every way except toughenes, aluminium is still better choice than glass for all of us that have rabbit to drop things.
Problem for Apple is that there are many people that are not fans of a brand or that they care specially about which OS they use, and they bought iphone because it was TOP of market, for a slightly more money than other devices costs...
Now, iphone 8 is not that any more.
Good as it is, it is not best apple iphone any more...and that one, "the best there is" now costs just too much for many of them...and since they will go under top shelf, they could look further, around....to see what could they get for their money.
So, I expect good year for Chinese manufacturers.
Also, it' s up to Apple to try to sell it over network carriers...with good contract, it could go as good upper midrangers.
the X is sexy? not sleek, not slim at all, big overall bezels, looks bulky. plus the hilarious cutout. G6 is the perfect normal phone for me. S8 looks like a TV remote, just too tall.
The audio recording is still mono in this models while i suspect that will be stereo in the iPhone X because it has three microphones. iPhone 8/8+ only has two, the noise cancellation one and the record or speak at the bottom, unforgivable, so forget the stereo watching your recorded videos with the iPhone 8/8+. 240 fps is not much, the competence records at 960 fps. We still don't know the size of the camera sensors but if they avoid publish that data, it smell that the performance in low light conditions will be again lower than expected in all these and the X too. We will see...
'And you can adjust it (scene lighting) after you've taken the shot too'..
Wow, that's pretty neat.
AnonD-454835, 14 Sep 2017Since when 1/3" has become a large sensor. Isn't the same size sensor was used last year?spec sheet still not been updated for most part, wait until release date
