An S835 would give comparable performance with a more efficient power consumption. The problem is that PC's run desktop Windows, which is not a mobile platform. Try running a desktop off of a S835 and you'll get the comparable performance of a Intel Pentium processor, maaaaybe an i3 if you overclock.
Sony Fanboy Bitches, 17 Sep 2017The only thing to be liked about iPhones is performance.
Reliability has already been achieve... moreWe need to see how the cameras perform when the phone is released. The sceeen resolution is not 1080p! The main concern on the iphone x screen is the brightness.
The new iphones can shoot 1080p at 240fps! Also the 960fps of Sony is limited to less than 0.2 seconds. You read that right. Zero Point two! Now tell me how useful that is and how it compares to "unlimited" 1080p at 240fps or 4k at 60fps.
Reliability on most android is not on par with apple. See lg. see the huawei nexus that had its back crack due to heat. Delaminating samsung phones (google it) or note 8 users reporting spen stopped clicking. My s5 stopped working for no reason and the repair shop told me it needed a new logic board. My flatmates lg g4 got bootlooped and was out of warranty. My best friends nexus 5x just wouldn't turn on and was not repairable so he bought a huawei p9. It is a fact that iphones age better. I still have an iphone 5s that's in excellent condition and is still reliable and relatively fast.
When you are looking to buy a high end phone and you are not into piracy then an iphone is not a bad choice. Most fanboys gsmarena users are so immature they make the whole android community look like envious kids who just want to win, hating apple no matter what they do. It is the trend on gsmarena. Seeking attention and the feeling that you belong by hating apple. It is really sad. I remember back in the days when gsmarena was not full of 14 year olds from third world countries commenting on every single article trying to prove that anything apple is bad.
if u say yes , this people will label u as isheep , idiot or whatever they can insult u

So, using that important detail as a base, there rate of overly defensive iOS users is actually rather alarming.
AnonD-680876, 17 Sep 2017What do you mean by chipset not upto the mark..??...SD835 Crushed A10 fusion, A11 crushed SD83... moreand what about the SD810 failure which used to cause heat loss in almost all of the flagship phones back in the year!!! dont forget fingerprint were made available on a device back in 2000s and then again available from 2013 on iPhone 5s...and then immediately all the manufacturers started implementing the same. so its nothing new if fingerprint is not on a new iPhone.
you talk about the absence of 3.5 mm jack? well there have been androids too dating from 2016( moto z) and couple of other androids who have skipped 3.5 mm jack. again there's nothing new in skipping a 3.5 mm jack. yeah you count on apple coz these devices sell like hot cakes in the market, so people tend to lose their minds coz Apple grabs the attention of the market.
after all, the world is a cycle of copying others and being copied.
wqcr, 17 Sep 2017Actually you can. And ARM SOC aren't that far behind desktop CPUs. S835 actually topples up si... moreAn i7 7700K will perform much better than a snapdragon 835. In geek bench the i7 scores about 7,000 in single core performance. Three and a half times faster than a snapdragon 835. In multi core benchmarks the i7 scores 26,000, which is about five times faster than the snapdragon 835.
Iphone X turned out to be a very nice phone.
if i used apple products, i could have bought it.
Out of them all I like X to a degree. I don't like the fact they just threw out 3.5mm jack and I certainly don't like their price, so I'll skip them all. But if I had to pick one, I'd take X. Relatively compact body, relatively big screen (around 5 inches of usable space).
AnonD-299946, 17 Sep 2017It all comes down to the price of the X, so I voted they're all sh!te.
The 8/Plus is a device... more"...if Apple can't get enough of their devices made, then who can."
No one? Show me a manufacturer with a model that sells as many units as Apples iPhone? You can't because there is none, and add to that a unit that is using an good oled display.
The only manufacture that can do that is Samsung and they for sure will prioritize production for their own units.
No FINGERPINT Sensor in the iPhone X is stupid. So is not having a headphone jack!!!
It all comes down to the price of the X, so I voted they're all sh!te.
The 8/Plus is a device that never should have been made, they should have cancelled this form factor and had an X and X Plus for $700 and $830. I do not believe all the BS about the OLED manufacturers not being able to meet the demand, this is APPLE, and OLED has been top quality for the last 3 years shipping across mid to extreme premium (Galaxy J, A, Alpha, S, Note, no to mention the Chinese players) devices in huge volumes, if Apple can't get enough of their devices made, then who can.
Let the haters hate, but this is the reality https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=now%204-H&q=iPhone%208,Galaxy%20Note%208,Galaxy%20s8,iPhone%20x,LG%20v30
The interest for new iPhones are sky high.
I can afford iP X, even in its high capacity variant, but I won't buy it as the money is much better spent elsewhere. I wouldn't get even 5% worth of the value for the specific use.
The fact I can do so little on "smart" device is the main turning point.

S835 actually topples up similar scores than i7, but not in thermally constrained phone, where throttling is inevitable. Give it good heatsink and suddenly your mobile chip almost outperforms desktop CPUs at a fraction of power consumption.
It's a great attempt but it's not. Notch is bothersome looking, borders around screen couple mm too thick, with this design I would prefer a more squarish profile. Back is just flat out awful, lens housing size and protrusion primarily throws everything off. Would prefer frame sides to be matte color, not chrome. Just not my cup of tea.

They both do similar things, but one will always be more powerful than the other. You cannot compare the computing power of a mobile platform to a PC powerhouse. Additionally, a 1080ti is a GPU meant for gaming. Good luck trying to run PC games on an iPhone.
