Note series always been for small minority, it has nothing to do with iPhone success, mostly it doesn't even compete from same users. Samsung is predicting Note 8 sales going to be around 11 million. New iPhones sells more in one month.
By the way even year old 7/7+ are still outselling S8/S8+

Oneplus only won second round thanks to their very fast animation. If you do more demanding tasks oneplus fast animations won't help.

Ignore the fact that its from Apple and you can not say objectively that its not a great smartphone. Just as Note 8 is a great smartphone.
If you think its worth the money to get one is another question.

No phone with iOS can ever be hot. I would not be abke to live with that stupid and restricted OS for even a week, even if *gifted* an iPhone X

2.) No... more1&2 - Yea.......that is kind of stupid on Apples part.
3 - Lol. Keep dreaming. Even if Note 8 had the processing power to do so, it wouldn't be able to record 4k@60FPS due to the sensor and ISP not being capable of it. The only sensor in the android world that is capable of it, is the IMX 400 and that happens to be exclusive to Sony for now.
4 - AR is a completely open (free for all) piece of tech. And they never claimed to have invented it. They only improved on it. And Google recently ditched their Tango AR project - the Zenfone AR and Phab 2 pro were a part of it. And Microsoft has been working on AR since before Google.
5 - That part really triggered the OCD in me.
6 - Resolution doesn't mean quality. Apples implementation of the Portrait mode is near perfect and now very versatile thanks to the lighting effects. Also, social media platforms (Instagram, snap chat, Facebook, etc) downscales the images quite a bit. Thus, a higher resolution camera is quite useless on the front. And FYI, Apples front cam is 7Mp. If done right, even a 5Mp is enough on the front.
7 - I wouldn't care about that if they actually had a big battery and better waterproofing (the only two reasons to remove the jack)........but, since they were too lazy to do it..........yea......another stupid decision from apple.
8 - Typical Apple. Is there any point in bringing it up?
9 - Their 3D face scan is as secure as fingerprints (less convenient tho). So no need for one. And they'll probably put in an under screen scanner next year when they have it ready.
10 - I'm looking forward to the pixel 2. But 7+ over the X...........nope........the massively upgraded camera alone is enough reason to switch (atleast if you have the money for it)
11 - LOL. Took them an entire generation newer chipset, cheating in benchmarks and 6 Gbs more RAM to beat the iPhone 7 in benchmark scores and speedtests(still got slaughtered in the single core benchmarks tho). That too, marginally.
As an android user myself, I really hope someone manages to release a processor capable of destroying the A11 Bionic without cheating. But after seeing the multicore scores of the A11, I don't think it'll happen anytime soon. And don't give me the "Geekbench is biased", BS. It was designed to give consistent scores across all the different OS out there.
