Anonymous, 15 Sep 2017We may only compare these scores once we test the chips on the same platform.to put it in Layman's term, basically the benchmark is like to see how fast the machine calculate, lets say 2+2, so it doesnt need to be on same platform, because we do 2+2 calculation on any platform.

Is it possible that Apple gamed the benchmark deep inside the SoC?
Since we can't see their source code nor the SoC design.

Qualcomm will need to work REALLY hard to beat that 10k threshold. I am an android fan. And with EIGHT core solution we are nearly kissing the 7k line, tell me, how it would be possible to add nearly 50% of that to MC?

I bet it will make the phone OP.
especially it will open only facebook, whatsapp and other basic stuff for 0.0001 miliseconds

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2017Which is why Android devices need 4GB of RAM to be any good... Apple performs this much better... moreEasy to score higher when you're not having to put up with half of the processes that an Android phone does. That's not impressive at all.

Obliteration. Kudos to Apple, this is their best leap yet and their standards are very high.
I would be satisfied if the SD 845 even matches this performance.

And now to wait for Obliteration Part 2 with the graphics performance and GPU frame-rates as if their (lower-than-rivals) resolution wasn't advantageous enough.

Now we just need to see the score for the Huawei Mate 10 with the new Kirin 970... I think this means war for all the other manufactures. Game on!

Well...it's a shame for Android. AR will probably not be as smooth on Android as on iOS. But for other tasks, such performance is just not needed at this time. This does mean that the iPhone X is quite future-proof and the price is worth it, though. Waiting for battery life results...

Even the 845 which might be in planning stages for next year Androids, wouldn't be able to beat this score. Qualcomm should stop bragging and start rethinking.

Wonder why apple invest so much in their chipsets as the horsepower seems so unnecessary for the OS. It's basically on level with a decent Intel desktop processor from a few years ago.
