Kristo Radion, 19 Sep 2017it should also enable us to map to another action/app. Come on, is it too difficult? For exam... moreabsolutely correct. one prefers to use music or camera more often then the key should be able to be used for that app. one simple feature that we will appreciate.

AnonD-701575, 18 Sep 2017Just open BIXBY and you can see on the top. If not just tap the setting on the top on the bixby pageIt's not there.
It was there when I opened Bixby immediately after updating and I disabled the button. But suddenly all those settings disappeared.

For example, i want it to disable touch screen by toggling it via that button. Useful for watching movies, using GPS while riding motorcycle (holding). Edge to edge display is really prone to accidental touches.

The most important feature would have been to remap it as a camera button. Of course Great Samsung put the button on the wrong side, instead of putting it on the other side!

I already disabled Bixby on my S8. Please allow us to remap the Bixby button with Google Assistant. Poor Bixby...it can't understand my English, nor knows names in my contact. Google know local names which is very impressive!

What completely disable would be better if they make it remappable to something like camera shutter or flash or music player launcher

Too little to late. I sold my s8 plus because of how irritating it was to keep pressing that damb key and how Samsung kept killing the 3rd party apps that allowed you to change its mapping to some degree. I'm foxing ok on my xz premium but miss the amoled

Well, Apple allowed Google Maps to be used in place of their horrible Maps app that had very poor performance. I am an Android fan, however, I was surprised how quickly they did this change and it took Samsung 5 months to do this.

with current tech, not possible to get machine 99% catch what people spoken. whenever need to make correction on input, the input time becomes much longer than pure tapping.
i wish someday the phone can be really as efficient as those seen in IRON MAN movie, maybe after 2030.

Currently I had completely forgotten the bixby button, feature on the phone, but manufacturer should keep on improving such tech.

AnonD-632062, 18 Sep 2017I have always felt Bixby was the answer to a question that no one had asked. Spending a lot... moreyes this bixby button can become a multipurpose button which can do anything. All android brands currently dont have this functionality. Will be interesting If samsung includes this functionality to the future update.
