Lenovo PROMISED people that the G4 + would get one more upgrade to Oreo 8.0 and then went back on their word. It is not coming. To only get one OS system upgrade on a phone over a lifetime means Lenovo lost me as a customer.

So your statement is true in contrast of other MI phones but not this one.

The way they justify the Oreo update for G4 Plus don't inspire confidence. They are SUPPOSED to give atleast 2 years of upgrades for flagship/mid-range smartphones.
