...and why exactly does Apple need to pay the music industry for hosting/serving back music you already bought (but not _selling_ any of said music) for you...?
George, 05 Jun 2011When the home button went wrong on my iPhone 4 I took it into the Apple store and walked out w... moreI don't believe for even one second that Apple gave you a new phone just becasue of a broken home button, easily opened and fixed/replaced part in 2 minutes.
you're all missing the point re: the "cloud". The point is for it to be accessible anywhere, on any device, however you're conneted to the Internet.
Now, knowing Apple it won't work quite that way. But that just means its competitors can show Macolytes what a *real* cloud can do.
I'm not really interested, mostly because it doesn't store my own actual tracks. FLAC > AAC any day, and if I'm going to pay for an online locker I'd want it to be full of my actual data.
When the home button went wrong on my iPhone 4 I took it into the Apple store and walked out within 5 mins with a brand new handset, I know of no other handset company that would do that, they just send your phone off and tell you to pop back in a couple of weeks. I wasn't even the original owner of the said iPhone, I brought it second hand from eBay. There aftercare service in my opinion is second to none.
Just remember to unjailbreak before you take it back to the store though ok!
As I've said before, a JailBroken iPhone beats any other handset anyday of the week.
I mean have you actually played 'Dead Space' on an iPhone 4? No android phone comes even close!
Your clearly don't understand the change in technology. Everything is going cloud and apple is definitely not the first company to do it.
Wouldn't you Want to ur existing songs anywhere you go with out syncing them to your device?
I am not an apple fan but I do like my iPhone, you say all you want about iOS but andriod is the one who loses in terms of enterprise support and security.
apple simply makes good quality products and fast and responsive os which works.
android on the other hand is still sluggish I am talking about honeycomb which runs on dual core CPU and feels slower than iPad 1.
iTunes is still the biggest song seller and the main reason is it's Eco system and reliability. Do some research before postqing negative feed back.
Every one stay away from apple‘s products. Those ““““people“““““ try to make and sell products as today‘s edem forbiten fruit.I gave my i4 for an lg 2x and even if it is for now laggy(but future proofed) I feel so much better that I am not addicted and chained with their expensive products and services.Their hole i marketing is to make you think you are conected and one with their “iDevices“ and “iServices“ so that you will call yourself as an “i“ and their products as “Devices“ or “Services“.Whoever is smart enough I hope he got what I just said.....
this is stupid. less n less people r even using itunes to download music cus u have to pay for it. so now who would want to spend more money on iCLOUD? clearly people who have no idea abt modern methods of listening to music!!
I can see no point in cloud services used for streaming music as long as data plans are so damn expensive.
Even the so called unlimited plans limit the speed to useless levels after 1Gb - 1,5 Gb.
Cloud will be great when internet access becomes as cheap as sending electricity over cables; then like electricity there will be no point in keeping anything at home, everything will be in the cloud,
Graz, 03 Jun 2011I don't really understand the point of music streaming if you have mp3 players with huge stora... moreyou sure have a point, I feel they should focus on allowing PC apps run on the cloud, like AutoCad , MS visual studio making tablet more useful
Not interested in this at all. I like to have all MY STUFF nice and secure on MY DEVICE. All these company's are becoming targets for hackers, just look at Sony. So you can stuff your cloud storage because like any cloud at some point it's gonna burst open and leak everywhere.
First they control the phone, all sensitive data on the phone including our location every minute and then the kind of music we like using cloud. Once you accept the terms and conditions all your personal freedom rights are thrown out of the window. You and your life is owned by the corporation and the security agencies. Giving more access to your life giving more for the hackers to hack our lives. All security agencies on this planet will have access to your lives and gets easier for screening potential individual threats. Good luck for people who are using this and other location based services. Me will stick with MP4 player which is personal to me and no other idiots have access to it. Corporations not only make money using subscriptions but they are harvesting data which is useful in many kind of research projects and who know to whom they are selling your right now.
Ios 5 is pretty exciting! Hhmm so there's no iphone 5 for 2011, iphone 4s is not a worthy update so iphone4 users will enjoy an extra year of extended bragging rights.. Hahaha :)
what's the point of streaming your own music over the internet ? there's already too much juice on your battery ?
Despite the usual "blah blah iphone owners are sheep" non-argument bleated out by Apple haters, I don't think this will succeed. Being charged to listen to your own music, when you can simply buy an ipod/iphone with larger storage? Is this Apple's way of getting around SD support?
I don't really understand the point of music streaming if you have mp3 players with huge storage already. The quality is also much worse when streaming especially over 3G, then there's the cost.
gg, 03 Jun 2011So you're gonna have to pay to listen to the music you already have paid for ?And you need a internet 3g or wifi =D
