I don't believing in rooting Android. It's risky in terms of bricking etc. Another reason I won't root is because I will lose my Knox security feature. It would be nice if you find out the name of the app that allows me to play a any sound file while I'm on a regular telephone call.

I think, there already are phone app replacements on the Play store for that feature you're talking about.

Your point is noted but all I was saying is that this syncing thing isn't new and the Nokia E-series was anything but a semi-feature phone. It was a smartphone. In fact you could sync stuff from a basic feature phone to any of the E-Series phone through the built-in SWITCH application...which I believe is what the Note 8 transfer feature is called. I will tell you this, there are a few features I miss from the Symbian OS which Android lacks. One such feature is playing a song while you are on a phone call and the other party hears it. Nevertheless, I am rocking a S5 these days and I'm extremely comfortable with. It's quite easily the best phone I have ever owned.
this smart switch sh** doesnt work, cant transfer data from lg g2 to samsung s7 on 11th of March 2016.
Samsung is worst android of all.

It is to tell Apple user that Smart Switch works with any iPhone with iOS 9 and above. Iphone SE in the picture is the earliest model of 2016 (running on ios 9.3.2) before iphone 7. Or maybe that is 5S? Not sure. Looks the same. Would it be better if Samsung used iPhone 6S from 2015 as an example of iOS 9? Plus, using the latest iphone as example will indirectly promoting Apple product. Samsung dont want to do free advertising for Apple. So, using the old iphone is enough. Hahaha.

I'm a bit surprised that Apple would allow such a cable to work on their devices.
Well, it's a good thing for the consumer.

The reason they have to use a USB cable is simply because Apple naturally locks wireless syncing into a closed ecosystem. Android phones does however have a neat trick up their sleeves, being Android and its USB port has full PC functionality. So, when you connect an Apple toy to an Android, the Android literally becomes the master and is able to sync anything Apple syncs through their lightning port.

This feature was present on Nokia's Symbian (E71, E51 etc.) and it was done wirelessly via bluetooth. As far as I can remember it transferred everything including the kitchen sink.
Smart strategy from Samsung to place the Galaxy Note8 next to the iPhone 5S, making it look like something from a pre-historic era! :P
