So for (even it's not my taste entirely) the Xiaomi A1 is the best thing that happened this year (a decent phone for a decent price). As the last year whose much better with both overlay offering and prices and those models now can be bought for future discounted prices I wish the all flagship 900+ $ assholes the very best trying to sell those.

Beside Xiaomi Sharp, Kyocera and General Mobile also involve in this Android One project. All the phone in this project are using stock Android.

Do you really think mayority of people needs what an SD835 offers?
Whatsapp, Instagram, Facebook, web surfing and eventually making calls?
If they were to make the right choice the best phone for them is a medium range whit large battery and good enough screen, and that´s it.
These 1K$ phones are, mainly, overkill for the vast mayority of the people.

Way overpriced. You can now get Snapdragon 600 series Google One phones for less than 500USD that give almost comparable performance, pack 6GB RAM, 64GB flash, sd-card slot, dual cameras... No point in buying Pixel anymore, unless you just want the most expensive.

I will never pay more than £500 for a smartphone, so this year choice to replace my Nexus 6P was the LG G6, paid well under £500 for it & also got a free LG Style Smartwatch & B&O headphones which makes it an even better deal.
I refuse to pay what the likes of Samsung, Apple, Google & so on are now charging for their latest flagships, luckily some in the case of LG prices drop like a stone not long after release so the price of the V30 will probably come down alot in the next few months,so if you want a V30 then it better to wait.
