I think the price is ok and I'm waiting for it so I'll buy it. Tried the so called better specs phone with less price but still my Sony sp stay longer and better so again back to you Sony.
IronHeart8, 21 Sep 2017Moto still sells lot of phones in India especially the G seriesThat's Lenovo. Motorola died a long time ago.
oggy, 21 Sep 2017If dont like overpriced brand phones. Better buy Chinese Phone like Xiaomi or OppoOppo will gladly sell you a helio p10 phone for this price. But hey nice selfies....
Sony Fanboy Bitches, 21 Sep 2017They didn't even bother lowering the settings.
And I can get better performance for the same ... moreYes you can in flash offer now for 139 euros: LeEco Le Pro 3 X722 4 GB ram 32 GB rom SD 820 16 Mpx 4070 mAh Android 6 and sure that soon all will be sold. Sure that it'll be more flash offers in the future. I've seen custom Oreo rooms in Leeco almost ready, only few bug fix to resolve. Soon Le Max 2, for example, will has it. But here we are talking around 384$ for a P20 SoC!!! not 150$
I wouldn't mind Sony as my next phone.

$384 for this? Mediatek 6757 is an old and weak processor. This should've been priced under $250 to sell. As always Sony will have to reduce price in a few weeks lol
Pin, 21 Sep 2017Sure by setting the quality graphics at the bottom. Look at youtube videos and compare. You lo... moreThey didn't even bother lowering the settings.
And I can get better performance for the same price? Well it's not that I could get a SD820 for $150, can I?
AnonD-510098, 21 Sep 2017Motorola is dead. HTC is dying and Sony is next. Not dead. Motorola " has reorganized it's operations and is now focusing on it's core markets of interests". They also "restructured their hierarchy and laid off non-essential workers to let another company manage their non-essential business to maximize income compared to what the company spent last years"
That's what you'd get as a reply if you asked their CEO.
Anonymous, 21 Sep 2017There are XZ1 Compact, XZ1, XZ1 Premium for different screen sizes in the flagship range. Why ... moreThat would turn into a bad idea tbh with you, especially Sony. Because XA series is living in midrange environmental. So it's name need to be some mid-rangers sounding like Plus*, Lite, Mini, etc. While XZ series is living in Premium / flagship environmental, so it needs to be named like flagship named sounding like Premium, Deluxe, Pro*, etc. Sony wants divided their series with different additional name, so it can be differentiated easily. Although this isn't true at all for some companies such as Samsung (ex. J7 Prime / Pro or S6 Edge+) or iPhones (6, 7, 8 +)
* For Pro and Plus, this can implied in both type of devices.
TheGoldMellifluousXZ, 21 Sep 2017Dude, i hope you didn't forget about this. But, almost expert reviewers said Sony UI known as ... moreSure by setting the quality graphics at the bottom. Look at youtube videos and compare. You lose detail, depth, reflections and shadows, etc. At this price you can get a lot better experience with heavy app aside how much they tried to optimize that mediocre hardware. There is a limit. There are no miracles about the technical limitations.
TheGoldMellifluousXZ, 21 Sep 2017Even with your comment, that ain't changing my opinion about Sony, LOL. Have a nice day, buddy :)Nice, turn the other cheek. No need to get frustrated by anti-Sony people.
People should understand that there must be something inside Sony phones for us to passionately defend the brand. Any company that has a passionate fanbase should be proud because they music have done something right to have them. Similarly Samsung, Apple, certain Chinese brands should also be proud (specially).
There are XZ1 Compact, XZ1, XZ1 Premium for different screen sizes in the flagship range. Why is this not called XA1 Premium?
TheGoldMellifluousXZ, 21 Sep 2017I don't know it's the exact reason, but the reason why Sony is playing safe with their design ... moretrue every brands have weakness. this is android. it always has a lot of rooms to improve, unlike crapple. so we better wait and see, dont flame the other brands

But, almost expert reviewers said Sony UI known as Xperia Home, is the most stable, most heavily-well optimized, lightweight, fastest, nice looking and near stock Android UI out there with Pixel and Motorola tied them. Even once Tech Trinkets tested Xperia L1 that only has a MTK 6737T and the results? It can play very heavyweight games without lag such as GTA San Andreas due their optimization is a no joke . (L1 is equivalent to their E series).
AnonD-678118, 21 Sep 2017It is from the last month, btw, where did you read 92m$ profit... Their last 2016 profit. I forgot to mentioned that one too :

Anonymous, 21 Sep 2017someday their mobile division will endup like moto and htcAs i say the same thing to Five Star, we have to wait what Sony next paradigm shift has to say. Last one was cut their low entry level phone and keeping their Xperia lineup for more years.
Nothing new, another overpriced phone. But people only look at the brand, doesn't care if it's a mediocre overpriced hardware till play their new acquired games like modern combat 5, asphalt 8 or nova 3 and discover what bought for 384$ and then lament that he had not looked for something better for his budget.
