I used to own a Samsung a3 2016 handset. When on nougat, it was crap. The battery drained 1% every 30 seconds on mobile data and every 2 minutes on WiFi. I tried everything to fix the battery such as reducing my brightness, optimising etc. but nothing worked. Eventually it got on my nerves so much that I upgraded to the S7.

Nougat ruined a lof of s6´s aswell. Mine s6 edge stopped fast charging. Did everyhing possible. Cache swipes, soft and hard resets, conector cleaning, various carges and cable. Nothing. The phone recognizes EVERY charger, no matter of the output, as a USB connection and the phone charges very slow.
Samsung NEEDS to correct this somehow, otherwise many will never apply such money for flagships that got problematic after a year of carefull usage.

update bugs very common .. but battery charging beyond 70% not recommended -- even on laptops due batteries overheating n expanding and sometimes exploding ..a few years ago sony had to recall 1 million laptop MADE IN CHINA batteries ...QUALITY CONTROLS SIMPLY donot exist in most chinese made stuff .. quick bucks --bugs galore ..but sleazy greedy usa uk etc etc corporate BOSSES MAFIAS shame ..

Since its been a year after I purchased my mobile A3 2016 .Nearly after a 6 month it started a problem facing that battery is not getting charged properly or drained fastly.sometimes it's get stucked merely.And in a year now I changed the new battery also .not worth spending money within a year after purchasing mobile

its not only charging problem...but battery is discharging like anything......even when network is constant...the only good thing about this phone is its form factor and camera....phone tends to get sluggish with time....

Lee Kun-hee, 22 Sep 2017It was built based on Note 7 FirmwareNo, its not. This A3(2016) was released in December 2015. Got nothing to do with Note7. The Nougat update which cause this problem was only rolled out on June 2017 for A3 (2016).

Well, I had the same problem for about twoo-three weeks, after the initial install of Android 7. Yesterday evening, however, Samsung pushed another update, which fixed the issue, and the phone charges to full 100% now.
