Forgot to mention raw and other pro features(what you got in V30 as example). Well, heif format greatly help the output quality, wonder if the rest of competitors use that from now too. Just then will be comparison at same level.

Anonymous, 23 Sep 2017I feel so sorry for people like you sir , get a life , really do :)He is right though. Android users seem to be so desperately discontent with their lives, watching them whine on various websites has gotten pretty pathetic now.

There is just two much iPhone stuff on the internet. On every site there is an iPhone article. Phonearenas 50℅ of articles are on apple and I phones. The cameras are good, nevertheless. But if it is good, it would show naturally. The end user should love it. Simple.

Between the cameras of the iPhone 8’s and the A11 chipsets, the endless supply of hurt feelings and denial is beyond hilarious, especially within the article earlier today detailing the DXO Mark scoring. I haven’t seen anything funnier in a long while. Lol.

It's absolutely despicable that so-called professional photographers can shoot with smartphones and claim their cameras are as good or even better than DSLRs. I still remember the iPhone vs Alexa and RED shootout. Those guys should have been run over with a hummer. Also professional shooters endorsing the iPhone for professional shoots are lame, and seriously have an identity crisis. I suddenly think the Bentley is worth like $10,000 solely for that AD.

Having said that, the new iPhone 8 and 8 Plus seem to have improved their camera Quality. Their HDR implementation has been vastly improved and their do not squash details like they did ALL Former Iterations. That's a genuinely pelasan surprise. Welcome to the Android Flagship Yardstick.

Also, the NEW Measuring Guidelines by DXO Labs is a little too strange, based on zoom and background blur and all that unnecessary stuff. They should, IMHO, they should Solely focus on Image quality instead of going into all sorts of unnecessary bull.

Having said that, and because XDA-Developers showed that it's the Algorithms that give the Pixel its photo quality advantage, it is high time that Samsung, LG and so many other smartphone companies improve their HDR algorithms. They can vastly improve the already great photo quality.

Rafe Firmani, 23 Sep 2017And dat expensive trip to India... You expect me to believe this was not paid for? Lol.TBH India is pretty cheap to visit. 3000$ can get you 5 star stay plus trip costs for entire month in India..... I think hthat photographer can afford that much after all he has much more expensive camera equipment with him. Also why India for a trip. I'd suspect Rajasthan government to sponsor it more than apple :|

Rafe Firmani, 23 Sep 2017It's funny that Sony fanboys are always HTC fanboys, but NEVER HTC fanboys love Sony... Why? ... moreThere's something wrong with this logic. He said he is a Sony AND HTC fan. Why must he be foremost a Sony then HTC fan or vice versa? He is BOTH!
