Both the bokeh and zoom functions are very useful, maybe not as often used as the normal mode but they are being used. What I like in addition is the ultra wide mode like the one on lg g6 and v30. It is super for travellers.

Whether you care about Bokeh/Zoom or not or if your phone supports it or dual cameras doesn't matter, this is the current trend in the smartphone world just like bezel-less phones are so you'll have to deal with it or stop talking about it. DxO did the right thing by including these features in their review process and protocols they're only reacting and adapting to market trends why is this so difficult for you fanboys to comprehend?

Since when was "bokeh" or whatcha might call it a necessity for good optics ? Sony does a good enough job with still photography and video, that's all i need in a phone camera.

Why the Zoom and Bokeh is important could someone tell me please?
If the optical zoom range is only increase slightly, what is the benefit?
If the Bokeh effect is over exaggeration, what is the benefit?
Why dont they explain?
Why leave the Sony hater have chance to bashing Sony by this unreasonable reviews?

I don't want to get involved in the displays war going on here, but i feel i have to tell my opinion based on real life experiences.
I have IPS display and after 4 years of use it looks exactly the same.
My friend has S3 and after 4 years, when you turn off all the lights in the room and open a black photo you will notice there are spots under the display, like there is water under it.
I'm no expert so I'm gonna ask if this is normal.
By the way, the ware and tare between them is HUGE. My X Z never had a case and looks in perfect condition (minor scratches and loose caps, but that is understandable after so many years). And believe me, it took some pretty nasty falls.
The S3 was ALWAYS in a covered case and it looks horrible! Not only that, but it slipped once from the coffee table (40-50cm on wood floor) and now has a crack on the left bezel.
My point is that almost all the Samsung users I've met have or had a broken display. I admit i didn't meet a lot of Sony users, but none of them had a cracked display.
We're talking about a variety of models here, not just one in particular.
So, I'd rather go with natural colors IPS display on the long-run, then warring about paying extra 50% of the phones price on a second amoled display. (By the way, after using amoled for a few hours my eyes burn, though i admit the blacks look better).
Now my friend wants an S8 and all i could think about was how much will cost him to buy a second display for it :))
I'm gonna het the XZP by the way :D

Even tho colours looks more accurate on LCD IPS displays i would rather go with a Amoled display. Mainly because of the power consumption and deep blacks. Amoled isn't perfect either, burn in may occur and LEDs degrade over time.
For now, there isn't a perfect display. Even tho i find LCD superior i like amoled.
I compare my old Nexus 5 which still today, has one of the best screens to my Oneplus 5. I find my nexus 5 screen better despite clearly seeing the edge bleedings. But i also love the over saturated colours, deep blacks and consumption of my oneplus 5 amoled.
Clearly there's no winner, they're both totally different displays

Im waiting for atleast 1 million post of negative comments from this xzp phone on this site before droping mine and use other recommended brands.. And thats a challenge to all of you who hates sony.. This will also serve as a test if this site Gsma has that number of subscribers......
