DoX has to reconsider their protocols and to update their values according to new inventions like motion eye camera with stunning 960 frame/sec, other than that it will be totally unrealistic
BigDaddy99, 24 Sep 2017Sony sucks lol. It beats 2.5 years old S6 edge by only 1 point.lol indeed. sony has to focus in ps and camera sensor only
In the minute 8:00 the xp already kicks the back to iphone 8 plus in stabilization and quality in the camera in front, we will see more .
A fakedxomark would not like to see this.

Wow, as expected, the amount of hurt feelings and excuses in relation to this article are simply staggering. Well worth the reading, the comments, even more so than the article, of course. Thanks for this. Lol.
Wow so intersting! I wondering if DxOMark testing Zefone 4 Pro, its has Sony IMX 362 (HTC U11) and Sony IMX 351 (LG V30) for 2nd cam.
- Dual Pixel AF
- Continous focus
- 4 axis OIS
- 3 axis EIS
- Color sensor
- 2nd gen Laser AF
- RAW format support
- Superior Manual mode → Shutter Speed between 32s - 1/16000s
- Dedicated ISP (SuperPixel) for 2 rear cameras
- Big sensor size → 1/2.55
- Big pixel size → 1.4μ

Sammy has a 1000FPS shooting camera, also employing eDRAM in the sensor. And it might be released on the S9. And why not: Apple will give the i9 a 1100FPS camera
This is expected because the camera on the phone doesn't have OIS, if it has it will definitely win on that test.

I wonder how this test setup is used. I NEVER use the Superior Auto Mode. I alwasys go manual. On all my Xperia devices and it really gives me an advantage in low light situations like indoor concerts where the hall is dark and highlights on stage with all the lights
The criteria of the test is good, but if u base it overall score it will be misleading when u just want a really good foto in certain conditions.
Why Dxomark don't test all the scene in the settings including the Macro Potrait Pets Gourmet etc with each ISO settings, just add in selected(Bokeh and zoom) protocols? I am confused by the new protocols, is this the marketing by trend or get paid by someone?
Actually Bokeh can be done by Background defocus app and the zoom can attach a Detachable Clip-on Telescope Lens.
With dXoMarks rating now you need to comparing phones scores in detail...
Just don't take the overall score to determine.
Overall scores is useless with NEW bokeh and craps in protocol standard!!
HTC U11 iPhone 8+
Contrast 86 89
Color 83 78
Autofocus 90 74
Texture 74 64
Noise 62 68
Artifacts 65 73
Flash 79 84
Zoom 29 51
Bokeh 20 55
**Overall Scores (photo & video): 90 94
iPhone 8/8+ only wins on zoom and bokeh and these are made them your highest rating yet, lol
Please don't be lazy and just swallow the overall score! Look at the darn details...
